Racecar drivers for a day Dovizioso and Lorenzo, at the wheel of the CUPRA TCR Andrea Dovizioso and Jorge Lorenzo, MotoGP riders for Ducati Corse and CUPRA ambassadors, take the brand’s competition car for a spin Both agree on emphasising the agility, power and sequential gearbox of the CUPRA TCR Pepe Oriola and Jordi Gené, racers and brand ambassadors, ride shotgun with them in this experience at the Castellolí track Martorell, 05-07-2018.– We’re used to seeing them racing on their motorcycles and taking corners with their knee grazing the asphalt. Whether it’s on two or four wheels, Ducati Corse MotoGP racers and CUPRA ambassadors Andrea Dovizioso and Jorge Lorenzo are motoring enthusiasts and didn’t hesitate in exchanging vehicles for a day. The challenge: take the CUPRA TCR for a drive following the instructions of CUPRA team racer Pepe Oriola and brand ambassador Jordi Gené. - From handlebars to steering wheel: “You want the same thing whether you’re driving a car or riding a motorcycle – when you’re on the track you want to be the fastest. The difference is that the car makes you feel safer; it gives you more stability”, says Andrea Dovizioso as he walks over to the CUPRA TCR on the track of the Castellolí circuit. Jorge Lorenzo adds: “When riders make the switch to four wheels it doesn’t take us long to gather pace and pick up speed”. With the same enthusiasm, they both put on their helmet and start the engine to check the engine response – in just 5.2 seconds the CUPRA TCR reaches 100 km/h.

  • Motogp: Jorge Lorenzo Wins the Catalunya GP
Beat: Sports MotoGP: Jorge Lorenzo wins the Catalunya GP Catalunya GP Montmelo Bologna Motorvalley Italy , 17.06.2018, 22:56 Time USPA NEWS - Jorge Lorenzo hammers in another superb win at the Catalan GP at Montmeló. Andrea Dovizioso forced to retire after a crash. Two weeks after his Mugello triumph, Jorge Lorenzo today made it two in a row by winning the Catalan GP at the Montmeló circuit. The rider from Mallorca, who started from pole, moved into the lead of the race on lap 2 when he passed Marquez, and then firmly held onto that position right until the chequered flag, finishing over four seconds ahead of his Honda rival. It was an unfortunate race for Andrea Dovizioso, who also started from the front row after going third-quickest in qualifying yesterday. The Italian crashed under braking for Turn 5 when he was in third and had to retire. Lorenzo has now moved up to seventh place in the overall standings on 66 points, followed by Dovizioso with the same haul, while Ducati now lie second overall in the Constructors´ championship with 132 points. The next race of the MotoGP World Championship will be in the Netherlands, in two weeks time, at the Assen circuit for the Dutch TT from 29th June to 1st July. Jorge Lorenzo (Ducati Team #99) - 1st “Today´s win was really fantastic! We showed that we can win not only by entering the first turn in first place, but also by recovering and overtaking the others. It was actually a complicated race because I got off to a bad start and lost a lot of metres to Marquez, but I told myself that the race was long and I had to keep calm.

  • Motogp Best Grand Prix 2012 and 2017, but He Has Also Been a Pioneer in Using This Platform to Support Motorcycling in Malaysia in All Aspects and Disciplines
MANAGEMENT, TEAM & RIDERS PROFILE 1 Dato’ Ahmad Razlan Ahmad Razali Team Principal Razlan Razali (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – 1972) has been one of the main catalysts to the booming popularity of motorcycle racing in Malaysia and South East Asia in recent years. Razlan’s career has been dedicated to the development of motorsport in his country, coming up with new business ventures and strategies to help improve the conditions of the sport. In October 2008 he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Sepang International Circuit, since which time he has further enhanced the good name of the track and motorsport. His work has not only been to make Sepang one of the most internationally recognised and decorated circuits, evidenced by the award for MotoGP Best Grand Prix 2012 and 2017, but he has also been a pioneer in using this platform to support motorcycling in Malaysia in all aspects and disciplines. Razlan’s first great achievement in the world of two wheels was to have two home riders competing in the Malaysian Grand Prix in 2009, which was an historic moment for the nation. Since then there has constantly been a full-time Malaysian rider contesting at least one of the categories within the MotoGP World Championship, with the trailblazing Zulfahmi Khairuddin as the reference point. The second big milestone came in 2015 with the creation of the SIC Racing Team in Moto3, achieving two podium finishes in its first season. In 2018 the team was extended to include Moto2 and in 2019 it took the big step up to the premier class.
