Christie's clubhouse will be open for everyone who wants to join. We will have basketball, bocce ball, and frisbee! This month we are meeting at North Clackamas Park and going to the Great American BBQ put on by the Milwaukie Center. There will be live music, dancing, and ice cream! After the BBQ we will hang out at the park and play games. We got our pictures taken with super heroes, watched a show all about electricity, met police officers and sat in a fire truck, listened to live music, and checked out a bunch of different booths. We are going to check out the Portland Pickles at Walker Stadium in Portland. So put on your baseball caps and be ready to cheer for our amazing home team! Please join us to learn about all the new policies, updates from the state, and how we are changing our business for the better! This is your opportunity to be an advocate for yourself and express your ideas or concerns. Families of members are encouraged to attend. Snacks and coffee/tea will be provided. You will get to play BINGO (with prizes) and an awesome game called NO THANK YOU, EVIL! You will even get to spend the afternoon at Portland's famous Guardian Games. (1 passport sticker) Location: Guardian Games - 345 SE Taylor St. Portland, 97214 Enrollment Deadline: July 16th Enrollment Limit: 12 Budget: FREE No Thank You, Evil! is a tabletop game of creative make-believe, adventure, and cooperative storytelling. In No Thank You, Evil!, you create a character based on a couple of cool, descriptive, imagination-firing traits. The Guide presents a dilemma, and the players set off on an adventure of the imagination. Along the way you use your character’s special skills, companions, and equipment to overcome obstacles. Maybe you’ll rescue a friend from Dragonsnot Falls, save the world’s biggest adventure park from an ancient curse, or fix Whizbang’s broken time machine before it’s too late! Whatever you choose, you’re sure to solve mysteries, gain friends, confront bad guys, and have a wild adventure! A.C.E. is a program of Good-2-Go-Oregon 4 July/August Meet and Greet - Campout! DSA HOURS: ~none Friday, July 26th, 10am-3pm Come join us at Willamette Park in West Linn for a campout! Let's have a sing along, play games, kayak, have a hot dog, and even roast marshmallows! Stop by with your provider, with your family/friend, or on your own. (1 sticker event) Location Address: Willamette Park, 1100 12th St. West Linn, Or 97068 Enrollment Limit: none Budget: FREE Great Oregon Steam Up DSA HOURS: ~6 Saturday, August 3rd, 11am-3pm Oregon City Hub Times: 10am/4:00pm Come with us to the Great Oregon Steam Up and learn about the early machinery that made Oregon develop and grow. Hear about innovators and manufacturers of times past. Machines on display include farm tractors and implements, early engines, crawlers, fire apparatus, vintage trucks and cars, logging gear, an early Oregon flour mill, and an authentic steam sawmill. Rides include an historic trolley and a miniature railroad. A parade takes place each day at 1:30 pm and it includes vintage tractors, trucks, and automobiles. The steam powered sawmill operates four times a day. (2 sticker event) Location Address: Brooks Oregon 3995 Brooklake Rd. NE Brooks, Or. 97303 Enrollment Deadline: August 1st Enrollment Limit: 9 Budget: $15 (please bring a sack lunch or money for food) National Night Out DSA HOURS: ~2 Tuesday, August 6th, 5:30pm-7:30pm Oregon City Hub Times: 5:00pm/8:00pm National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live. National Night Out has been cele- brated across North America on the first Tuesday of August since 1983. It's a day when people hold parties to strengthen community cohesiveness and crime resistance and get to know their neighbors and their local public safety officials. When neighbors get to know each other, they create a connected and safer community. Come meet police officers, watch police dog demonstrations, check out some booths, and eat some great food!
