With increasing modernization and urbanization, the China of old is fast disappearing in front of our eyes, very few of the traditional architecture and environment is preserved and it is getting harder and harder to find places planned and built with good Feng Shui. This tour is mainly concentrated on , a province in the North of China, where the state of existed there during the “Spring and Autumn” Period. The name “Shanxi” literally means "mountain's west", which refers to the province's location west of the . Since tourism is not highly developed like some of the coastal regions, Shanxi still managed to preserve quite a few of its traditional architecture, temples, towns and villages and we have decided to make this trip and see them before they too vanish before our eyes.
