At Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament experience a thrilling live tournament with authentic jousting, sword-fighting, magnificent horses, falconry and pageantry during a four-course feast inside an 11th century style castle. Medieval Times is located in Buena Park, just down the street from Knott's Berry Farm. During the two-hour family friendly dinner show, Medieval Spain comes to life right before your eyes. Witness a battle of champions as six knights compete with real weapons in tests of skill to become the king's champion. Guests are seated in one of six color-coded sections which correspond to the colors of one of the daring knights. In addition to jousting and swordsmanship, guests watch thrilling hand-to-hand combat, displays of extraordinary horsemanship, and falconry as part of an exciting yet touching true story set in Medieval Spain. Dine with King Don Carlos and his royal court. Medieval Times noble guests feast on delicious roasted chicken, sweet buttered corn, herb-basted potatoes, tomato bisque soup, garlic bread and the pastry of the castle, plus coffee and select beverages. (Vegetarian meals are available upon request). And, in the spirit of the 11th century, guests eat with their hands . no eating utensils! Medieval Times also features a full-service bar, dance floor, gift shop, and the Hall of Arms displaying Medieval artifacts and a Medieval torture museum. Guests enjoy visiting the horses in the stables before or after the show. Want to become a knight? Knighting ceremonies are performed by the king before the show ($20 extra). The castle doors open 75 minutes prior to show time. After the show, guests can mingle with cast members and receive autographs.
