Shannon Airport to National University of

Train: Operated by Irish Rail www.irishrail.ie Journey 1: - Duration:45 Minutes Cost: Approximately €6 single fare, one way. Please transfer at Ennis Train Station onto the Galway train. Journey 2: Ennis (Train Station) - Galway (Ceannt) Duration:1 hour 20 minutes Cost: Approximately €10 single fare, one way.

Bus: operated by Bus Eireann www.buseireann.ie Shannon Airport - Galway (Bus Station) Duration: 1 hour 50 Minutes Cost: Approximately €16 Route 51 (Galway - - ) buses run every hour between 7am and 8pm (approx). Note that route x51 does NOT serve the airport. See www.buseireann.ie for information. Their schedule is http://www.buseireann.ie/timetables/1425313107- 051.pdf You would get on at Shannon Airport Stop B when you arrive and then this brings you into Galway City (approx. 2 hours) Price is €16 single journey. Note that there are usually inspectors in red jackets who can direct you to this stop to collect the bus.

Transport from to National University of Ireland Galway

Train: Operated by Irish Rail www.irishrail.ie Dublin Heuston – Ceannt Train Station, Galway Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes Cost: Approximately €40 single fare, one way. On arrival to Galway: Its 1.4km walk to NUIG, Appox. 17 minutes By Car/Taxi: 8 minutes or if staying at Corrib Village, please refer to page two and see details on the Corrib Campus Living Shuttle

Bus: There are multiple bus options from Dublin to NUIG/Galway To reach the bus stops at , proceed to the glass walkway that connects the two terminals. Halfway down the walkway is a turn-off with a sign indicating bus and coach services.

Citylink and Gobus provide direct service to Galway with a single stop in Dublin, leaving at :15 or :45 after the hour. Pre-booking is not necessary on the way to Galway, but it is highly recommended for your return trip. On arrival to Galway: Walk 14 Minutes to NUIG / Drive by car or Taxi to NUIG: 6 Minutes 1

On arrival to Galway: 1.4km walk to NUIG-17 minutes / By Car/Taxi - 8 minutes

Staying at Corrib Village & Arriving by Coach or Train?

Note that Corrib Village Living provide a shuttle bus to and from the campus reception to the Coach Station on Fairgreen Road. The coach departs Corrib reception every hour on the hour (between 12:00 to 19:00) and picks up opposite the Coach Station on Fairgreen Road (adjacent to the Tourist Office) on the half-hour. Seats are limited and are issued on a first-come-first- served basis.
