He also participated in a Chicago Tribune vote fraud investigation which OFFICERS won the 1972 Pulitzer Prize for public service. He shared a 1980 Illinois UPI award for an President investigative series titled "The Black Tax" and a Shelly Church 1976 Edward Scott Beck Award for overseas reporting in Southern President-Elect Africa. In 1992, he was inducted into the Chicago Journalism Hall Melvin C. Short Jr. of Fame and later received a lifetime achievement award from the National Association of Black Journalists. His 1996 book, Vice President Showing My Color: Impolite Essays on Race and Identity, was Richard S. Bodman published by HarperCollins. He received his Bachelor of Science in journalism degree from Ohio University in 1969. Born in Secretary Dayton, Ohio, began his journalism career as a freelance writer Richard J. He was President and Chief Operating Officer following JPMorgan Chase's merger with Bank One Corporation in July 2004.
