“…ET SILENTER DELEO” GLI ALIANTISTI MILITARI ITALIANI DURANTE LA SECONDA GUERRA MONDIALE ------ di Gabriele Taddei ------ L’autore di questa interessante ricerca è nato a Firenze nel 1976, si è laureato in storia presso la Facoltà di Lettere e Filosofia della sua città nel luglio del 2002. L’11 giugno del 2000, memorabile giornata di vento e pioggia degna del miglior quadro di William Turner, ha conseguito il brevetto di pilota d’aliante presso l’Aero Club Volovelistico del Mugello di cui oggi è membro. Nell’estate del 2001, insieme a tre suoi compagni di corso, ha acquistato un Ka 6 Cr immatricolato in Germania nel 1967. Sinceramente animato dalla inconfutabile convinzione che il Ka 6 sia il miglior mezzo volante mai costruito dall’uomo, superiore, a suo dire, a qualsivoglia Nimbus (sebbene effettivamente egli non abbia mai volato su alcuna macchina con meno di venti anni di onorato servizio sul groppone), è talvolta legato ed imbavagliato dai suoi tre soci che non trovano altro modo per strappargli il vecchietto e usufruire del loro sacrosanto diritto al volo. Un'altra insana e morbosa passione agita il suo giovane animo di volovelista: quella per la stretta valle di San Godenzo dove, con metodica sistematicità, ogni giornata volabile che il meteo gli offre, si trova ad eseguire imbarazzanti “bassini”, razzolando nel sottobosco come neppure il miglior cercatore di funghi della zona saprebbe fare. 1 Il periodo prebellico: tra disinteresse ed originali proposte Nel corso degli anni Trenta, l’Italia poteva vantare un rilevante quanto precoce sviluppo della pratica volovelistica reso possibile soprattutto grazie all’appoggio offerto dal regime alla formazione ed all’inquadramento di gruppi giovanili ed universitari. -

Under många hundra år försökte man att flaxa sig fram genom luften. Det första historiskt dokumenterade försöket tycks ha gjorts av en viss Simon i Rom år 66. Han försökte hoppa från ett torn med hemmagjorda vingar i när- varo av självaste kejsar Nero. Han misslyckades emel- lertid skändligen, föll och skadade sig så svårt att han dagen därpå avled. Som ett minne av hans försök finns han förevigad i en katedral I Frankrike. -
