Date Activity – Phase 1 Getting started A group of Haslemere residents propose a Neighbourhood Forum. HTC agree to August 2012 support. Public Meeting held at Haslemere Museum attended by over 100 residents. Proposal to 28th September 2012 form a Neighbourhood Forum is supported. Volunteer Organising Group (OG) and Work Groups (WG) formed. OG seek advice from October 2012 Locality and other NP groups on process and organisation. November 2012 HTC apply to WBC to designate the town boundary as the Neighbourhood Area. February 2013 Haslemere Vision Ltd, a community company limited by guarantee, formed. March 2013 HV agree Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with HTC. Haslemere Vision launched at an all-day event in Haslemere Hall. Attended by 320 local April 2013 residents. New volunteers recruited and support for organisation and process. demonstrated by vote in favour. 22 February 2016 HV and HTC agree updated MOU.

Date Activity – Phase 2 Engaging the Community to identify issues and opportunities At the HV launch event the Localism Act and the concepts of neighbourhood planning April 2013 were explained to attendees who were invited to identify what they liked and disliked about Haslemere and indicate support for the formation of HV. HV takes a stand at Fringe May 2013 Festival event on Lion green Asking same questions as those at the launch.

Online questionnaire launched and widely advertised. Asks the same questions as at the July 2013 launch event. Afternoon workshop with elderly residents at Redwood Manor asking same questions as July 2013 launch/questionnaire. Volunteers invited to join the Steering Group. Five work groups formed including: − Transport, Traffic and Parking − Business and Economy August 2013 − Natural & Built Environment − Culture, Education & Leisure − Wellbeing, Health & Inclusion Organising Group is wound up to be replaced by the Steering Group. Steering Group and Work Groups convened and briefed. Workshops held: September 2013 − - Sept 14th Localism and neighbourhood planning − - Sept 28th Visioning. September 2013 Online survey closes. *The Community action Work Group was subsequently disbanded because it was concluded that “community action” was not, in itself, a planning policy issue.

20th Oct 2015 Policy Drafting Workshop. June 2016 Comments on NP received from WBC Planning Officers. September 2016 NP draft shared with HTC. September 2016 – April Policy redrafting based on HTC comments. 2017 15th June 2017 Meeting with WBC Planning Officers to discuss draft NP policies. 15th August 2017 WBC housing allocation increased. Haslemere target increased from 830 to 990 homes. LPP2 will be delayed as a result. 16th August 2017 Meeting with WBC Planning Officers to discuss NP and LPP2 timing. NP redrafting continues and plan document layout and content improved and images July – February 2019 added. 21st March 2019 Draft Neighbourhood Plan approved by Haslemere Town Council. 3rd June 2019 followed New NP Joint working party meet (HTC councillors and HV volunteers) to plan by regular monthly consultation. meetings 26th June 2019 Request for Sustainability Screening Opinion submitted. NP Joint working party propose redrafting settlement boundary. Guidance sought from October 2019 independent planning consultant. A 29th June 2016 group of volunteers form a steering group to take the idea forward. HTC link councillors with responsibility for the NP attend HV steering group 14th September 2016 meeting and report on first meeting of HTC NP Working Group. Meeting with WBC to discuss the Sustainability Assessment, Habitat 9th January 2017 Regulations Assessment and Strategic Environmental Assessment. Presentation by HV Chair, Stewart Brown on key aspects of the plan to January 2017 U3A+Contemporary Issues group. 17th March 2017 Meeting with WBC Head of Planning to discuss LPP2 content and timing. Advise sought from Tony Burton, planning consultant on the impact of site allocation on April 2017 the NP. Meeting of HTC, HV and WBC to discuss the allocation of housing sites. HTC determine 27th April 2017 at full council meeting that WBC should allocate sites in Local Plan part 2 which is expected to be issued in mid-summer 2018. May 2017 CLT incorporated as a Community Benefit Society. 31st July 2017 Public drop-in at High Lane Community Centre to update public on plan progress. Email sent to all HV supporters providing an update on the timing for the completion of September 2017 the NP. HV mounted stall at Charter Fair to update community on progress of neighbourhood 7th May 2018 plan HV holds workshop at Our Lady of Lourdes church hall with HV volunteers 9th February 2019 and supporters to seek their views on draft neighbourhood plan and summary.
