EXPERIENCE:

-2020 June – Present. (Barcelona.spain) Freelance vfx Supervisor and Consultant. Working from Barcelona as a base but available for travel. On set vfx supervision, pre and post production vfx Supervisor. Consultant for any vfx or animation project (bidding, concept, approach, workflow, building the teams). -2018 October – 2020 March: MillFilm Adelaide. (Adelaide.au) CG Supervisor. Joining the MillFilm Adelaide since very early days, helped out the first 5 months setting up the studio working very close with the Head of Creative Operations on hiring key roles and developing the departments. At the same time than CG supervising the first two projects at the studio for that time (“Dora and the lost city of gold” and “Cats”), and then concentrating on the biggest show on the studio for the rest of the year. Also working very closely with the Software team and CG Leads to develop the general pipeline for the new studio and the most specific project tools. Usual work entitles supervising all the teams from assets to render delivery to comp and closely collaborating with vfx sup, comp sup and leads. Working with the Leads and software to balance department tools needs and workflows and with other sites, supervising and sharing assets and shot work. I had the pleasure to work very closely again with vfx Supervisor Jason Billington, taking more responsibilities and with his support covering for him on many occasions internally and externally with client. Acting Head of Pipeline. January 2020 – March 2020. While waiting for a project to take on as vfx Supervisor, and because I was involved with the pipeline since the beginning, during this period of time I took over the Mill Film pipeline as a project, to help improve and develop it. Working with all the Heads of department and Leads and closely with the local and global software teams to prioritise projects and help design the future workflows and tools. -2017 October – August 2018: Iloura/Method Sydney. (Sydney.au) CG Supervisor. Working as CG Supervisor for the feature film: Skyscraper. Working closely with vfx supervisor, comp sup and cg leads to achieve the projects artistic and technical demands. Working with other vendors like ILM, and MPC, at Iloura we had the bulk of the shot count with around 500 shots, doing set extension with big CG builds, leg and face replacement, and the helicopter crash among other things, including a good chunk of the crane climb. -2010 March –2013 November: BskyB- VFX Department. (London.uk) CG Supervisor. September 2013 – November 2013. Acting CG Supervisor. March 2011 – November 2011 / June 2013 – August 2013. As CG Supervisor, working closely with the VFX Supervisor to artistically and technically achieve the vision of designers & directors on title sequences, promos, etc. Supervising shoots, leading the CG department, QC and developing workflow between CG and Compositing. Acting as VFX Supervisor working with senior artists to artistically and technically achieve the vision of designers & directors on title sequences, promos, sponsorships, etc. Working on projects from design stage to completion; supervising shoots, quality control, workflow and pipeline, projects breakdown, supervising most of the projects that go through the vfx department. I worked on the FX team in Bren Entertainment where we were responsible of create all dynamic effects, (like smoke, fire, fluids, etc.), cloth simulation, and special difficult jobs for animation films (Nocturna, Donkey.Xote) and animation series (Donz). CG Artist.

I worked as general artist, in the small CG team that creates all CG shots and effects for El Cid, the Legend (traditional animation film). I worked on modelling, setup, shading, effects and compositing. Software: XSI, Combustion, Shake and Photoshop.

Modelling Supervisor.

I worked as a Modelling supervisor in the last episode of 26 x 26’ CG animation series (Goomer, an intergalactic sitcom). I coordinated the tasks with modellers and work modelling some characters. Software: Softimage|3D.

-El CiD, The Legend: In this project we were a very small cg team of six people, and I work from modelling to shading, fx, setup and composition.
