  • JOON MOON « Call Me EP »

DAN DEACON MYSTIC FAMILIAR OVERVIEW Dan Deacon, composer and performer, returns with his new studio album, Mystic Familiar. Following 2015’s Gliss Riffer, Dan embarked on a whirlwind of collaborative projects, scoring eight fi lms, including Rat Film and Time Trial; collaborating with choreographer Justin Peck on dance piece The Times Are Racing; producing and co-writing with Ed Schrader’s Music Beat; and performing with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. While fulfi lling, these projects all lacked one instrument: Dan’s voice. During this time, solo writing became his personal oasis, taking on an exploratory new direction informed by his newly adopted therapeutic practices of self-compassion and mindfulness, daily prompts from Brian Eno’s Oblique Strategies, and meditation to access an inner well of creativity as discussed by David Lynch in Catching the Big Fish. • New Wave = Bossa Nova = Nouvelle Vague ». En Partant De Cette
NOUVELLE VAGUE by NOUVELLE VAGUE and some friends I Could Be Happy « New wave = bossa nova = nouvelle vague ».
