Shimizu – Park, Views of Mt. Fuji & Sengen Shrine (4 Hours) Surrounded by beautiful scenery and striking views of Mt. Fuji, is a modern city with great ties to its historic past. First, we will visit Sunpu Castle Park. A lush, emerald green garden surrounds the park's showpiece, the ruins of Sunpu Castle. Shogun built the castle in 1585 and lived there on two occasions. Its remains hint at its former grandeur. The castle was surrounded by moats and stone walls whose size and fortitude can still be seen in the ruins. From the park, continue on to Shizuoka Sengen Shrine, a complex of seven shrines. Sengen Shrine contains 26 "Important Cultural Assets" and an extensive collection of historical artifacts from the that ruled Japan for 300 years during the Edo Period. Sengen Shrine is also noted for its dramatic architectural style and extensive use of gold leaf, lacquer and wood carvings. We will complete our day at Miho-no-Matsubara, a picturesque pine grove along the eastern coast of the Miho Peninsula, given the distinction of "New Three Views of Japan," a designation of scenic beauty. This inspirational spot for artists offers dramatic views of Mt. Fuji. Day 8**Mar 1 Kobe, Japan This morning, we will arrive Kobe, Japan. Ships disembark at 8:00 AM and embark at 3:00 PM.

Kobe – Brewery Museum & Mt Rokko (4 Hours) Sake is a Japanese alcoholic beverage made from rice grain. We will have a delightful drive through the city of Kobe, en route to the Sake Brewery and Museum. The southeastern section of Kobe is renowned for producing fine quality sake. Upon arrival at the Sake Brewery Museum, we will notice the scent of wood and straw. This is because the museum is housed in authentic sake "kura" (brewery). A screening of an old promotional short film as well as a variety of industrial videos explain the entire sake-making process, helps to explain sake's origins as well as provide instruction on how to better enjoy your sake tasting. Before we return to the ship, we will stop at the beautiful Mt. Rokko. Located in southern Hyogo and on the northern coast of the Osaka Bay, Mt. Rokko is the highest peak in the Rokko mountain range. Upon arrival, a drive to the top of the mountain for a stop at the Mt. Rokko Observatory where you'll enjoy spectacular panoramic vistas of Kobe's Osaka Bay and, on clear days, the Inland Sea.

Day 9**Mar 2 At Sea Today is a Sea Day; we are on our way to Okinawa, Japan. Day 10**Mar 3 Okinawa, Japan This morning, we will arrive Okinawa, Japan. Ships disembark at 7:00 AM and embark at 3:00 PM.

Okinawa – Shurijo Castle & Kokusai Street (4.5 Hours) The largest island in the Ryukyu Archipelago, Okinawa has been a center of trade and a source for conflict through its history. Upon arrival at the port, we will visit Shuri Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was the palace of the Ryūkyū Kingdom and cultural center of the Ryukyu Island until 1879. It was almost completely destroyed in 1945 during the Battle of Okinawa. In 1992, it was reconstructed on the original site based on photographs, historical records, and memory. One might be in for a surprise as the architecture of the castle is very different from other Japanese castles. After that, we can enjoy our shopping at Kokusai Dori, literally "International Road", is Naha's main street, stretching for roughly two kilometers through downtown Naha. After enjoy our shopping here, we will return to our ship.

Day 11**Mar 4 Keelung – Beitou (D) Arrive at Port of Keelung Passenger Terminal. After disembarking, we will have a tour in Keelung, a port city near Taipei, in northern Taiwan. Surrounded by mountains, it’s known for its sheltered harbor. Heping Island Park is one of the earliest places where the Han people settled. A big highlight of Heping Island Park is its sea-corrosion landscape. The park is full of sandstones. The strange rocks along its coastlines make a unique landscape after they are eroded by sea water and sea winds for a long time. Keelung Miaokou Night Market is one of the most famous night markets in Taiwan. They are open during the day for lunch also. As one of Taiwan's more traditional food-focused night markets, and get ready for some cheap, delicious seafood! Come with an empty stomach! Miaokou is located adjacent to Keelung Harbour and forms the downtown area of the city. Afterwards, we will head to our Hot Springs Resort as our accommodation for tonight. During our stay, feel free to enjoy the onsen spa inside the resort, as this rejuvenating experience will help reduce insomnia and aid in recovering from fatigue. Dinner will be served at the hotel. Day 12**Mar 5 Beitou – Taipei (B, L) In the morning, feel free to use the hot spring facilities in the resort for restoring your energy, and to prepare for our next adventure. Then, we will visit Geothermal Valley, sometimes simply Thermal Valley or Hell Valley which is a volcanic crater filled with steaming natural sulfuric hot spring water. The mineral composition of the rare green sulfur spring waters can only be found in two locations in the world, here in Beitou and in Akita, Japan. After lunch, we will visit Beitou Hot Spring Museum, initially built as Beitou Public Bathhouse in 1913. It was the largest bathhouse in at that time, but is now a historical museum housing the history, facilities, and appliances used in hot springs. After that, we will visit Dharma Drum Mountain Nung Chan Monastery, a Buddhist temple place with a very calm atmosphere. The icon of the temple is the Water-Moon Pool, situated in front of the Main Buddha Hall. The pool is a focal feature of the Center’s landscape. When still, the pool is like a mirror that reflects the clouds and sky, Buddha Hall and Corridor. But at the slightest breath of wind, these water-borne images vanish-like the ephemeral images arising and perishing in the onlooker’s mind. We will transfer to our hotel in Taipei, and we can enjoy the rest of the day on our own.

Day 13**Mar 6 Taipei (B, L, D) This morning, we proceed to Yehliu Promontory, a cape in Wanli District, New Taipei City that is part of the Daliao Miocene Formation. It stretches approximately 1,700 meters into the ocean and was formed as geological forces pushed the Datun Mountains out of the sea. A distinctive feature of the cape is the hoodoo stones that dot its surface. These shapes can be viewed at the Yehliu Geopark operated by the North Coast and Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Administration. A number of rock formations have been given imaginative names based on their shapes. The best known is the "Queen's Head", an iconic image in Taiwan and an unofficial emblem for the town of Wanli. Other formations include the "Fairy Shoe", the "Beehive", the "Ginger Rocks", and the "Sea Candles". Next, we will visit Jiufen, formerly the center for gold mining. The most prosperous shopping district is Chiufen or Jiufen Old Street, lined with many local snack vendors and special accessory stores. Various foods such as “Yu Yuan” (taro balls), fried meat balls, steamed taro cakes, and herbal rice cakes are Chiufen’s specialties. There are some historical items well preserved too. Enjoy lunch on your own here. Shifen is rich in culture and history and provide a delightful glimpse of Taiwan's beautiful natural scenery. In the past, those who worked or farmed in the mountains faced the risk of being robbed or killed so they used lanterns to inform their fami- lies of their safety. The lanterns do not function as signals anymore, but are now used as symbols of peace and good fortune. We will each be given a Lantern with a wish written on it to release into the sky. Day 14**Mar 7 Taipei (B, L) After breakfast, we will start our tour to Yangmingshan National Park, a volcanic terrain-type park featuring crater lakes and sulfur fumaroles, hot springs, grassy plains and blossoming cherry trees. March is a spring season in Taiwan; we will have a chance to attend the flower festival in the park. After a Healthy Vegetarian Lunch, we will explore the National Palace Museum featuring one of the world's largest collections of priceless Chinese art treasures. More than 620,000 art objects are currently collect- ed and stored in the museum. Tonight, we will experience one of Taiwan’s nightlife by walking around the popular, bustling Shilin Night Market, the largest and most famous night market in Taiwan. We can enjoy our dinner here. Day 15**Mar 8 Taipei Honolulu (B, L) After breakfast, enjoy free time in the morning. Then we will enjoy our lunch at Taiwan’s iconic Din Tai Fung, a world-famous, award-winning restaurant specializing in Xiaolongbao (small steamed dumplings). Afterward, we will move to Taipei 101 located in Xinyi business district, the most developed business district in the capital city of Taipei. Taipei 101 is a landmark skyscraper, formerly known as the Taipei World Financial Center and formerly ranked as the tallest building in the world from 2004 to 2010. After- ward, we will visit the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall – a famous monument, landmark and tourist attraction erected in memory of Generalissimo Chiang Kai shek, the former President of the Republic of China. After that, we will transfer to Taoyuan International Airport for our return flight home, ending our fantastic cruise tour to Taiwan and Japan.

We wish you a safe journey and capture many wonderful memories to share with family and friends! ☺
