FACILITIES

SAIGON SOUTH CAMPUS

The campus is a purpose-built, contemporary educational facility of an international standard.

The Recreation and Events Complex, featuring a wide range of interesting facilities for a variety of recreational purposes, provides students with the opportunity to enhance their abilities beyond the classroom. The student accommodation, which some students have referred to as being more like living in a resort, provides a home away from home for students. Various contemporary food outlets offer a variety of Vietnamese and Western cuisines.

Student activities include social clubs and sporting groups such as football and basketball teams. Yoga, Aikido and classic and modern dance are also taught on campus. The student body has established its own clubs for business, English and social needs.

PHAM NGOC THACH CAMPUS

Located on Pham Ngoc Thach Street, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City, the Pham Ngoc Thach campus was RMIT Vietnam's original campus building, in operation

between 2001 and 2005.

In late 2011, it re-opened as a specialised English language learning centre, particularly for people preparing for entry into RMIT Higher Education programs. The Pham Ngoc Thach campus aims to provide specialised and conveniently located training courses, close to the centre of the city. It is also the location for the recently launched Master of Architecture.

RMIT VIETNAM’S HANOI CAMPUS

RMIT University Vietnam's Hanoi operations are conducted from recently refurbished premises at the Handi Resco Building, on the banks of one of Hanoi's most picturesque lakes. The campus location is fitted with the latest state-of- the-art learning facilities, including use of multimedia technology and other innovative features to allow for small group learning in an informal, collaborative setting.

RMIT IELTS Test Centre Da Nang is the official provider of the IELTS test in Da Nang and surrounding provinces. The Test Centre is equipped with state-of-the-art classrooms and standardised testing systems to facilitate IELTS learning and testing in the region PROPERTY SERVICES DIRECTOR – SUMMARY

The Director, Property Services is responsible for managing the efficient and effective delivery of an extensive range of property and related services to support and enhance the operations of RMIT Vietnam. This includes the physical planning, development, maintenance and facilities management of all RMIT sites in Vietnam.

REQUIREMENTS / KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Employment/Professional Experience  At least 5 years’ management experience in facilities management, with experience in project management, contract procurement, contract management, financial planning and budgeting.  Preferably, experience in extensive refurbishment, preventive maintenance planning for mechanical, electrical and general building systems, including fabric and structure of buildings. Program management experience, including master planning and capital planning.  Experience and awareness of sustainability as it relates to property and facilities management. Competencies  Superior people management skills with proven ability to lead, guide and motivate staff in multi-disciplinary teams engaged in complex facilities operation and service programs.  Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategies regarding campus and facilities management, including establishing and monitoring supporting policies and procedures.  Demonstrated ability to undertake investigations and prepare reports and recommendations, including financial and budget projections.  Proven conceptual and analytical skills and the ability to formulate and evaluate policy options in an organisational context and provide input to corporate strategy development.  Excellent interpersonal skills, including negotiation, liaison, cross cultural communication and report writing skills.  Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and direction, and work collaboratively as part of a senior management team.  Ability to successfully interact with key internal and external stakeholders in order to achieve appropriate resolution and key outcomes of any property related issues that may arise.  Capacity for managing ambiguity and leading people in a rapidly changing environment. Qualifications  Tertiary degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Property Management or related field. English Proficiency  English is the language of teaching and communication at RMIT Vietnam. For this role, the minimum requirement is IELTS 6.5+ (or equivalent). Work Permit Requirements  Non-Vietnamese candidates must also meet the requirements of the Vietnamese Work Permit process, described here. WORKING AT RMIT VIETNAM

REMUNERATION  This is a Director role, with a total fixed remuneration (TFR) commencing at USD 120,000+ per annum.  In addition, you will have the opportunity to earn up to 10% of TFR as a performance bonus, each year.  We pay on a ‘total fixed remuneration’ basis (TFR), which means that the salary stated is your total remuneration.  Salary packaging options are available for school fees and home airfares: this is a tax benefit and not paid in addition to your remuneration.  You will be paid your first USD 1,000 per month in VND, and the remainder in USD. This necessitates having both a VND and USD bank account. We can help you to set up bank accounts, once you have arrived in Vietnam.  RMIT Vietnam will withhold and pay income tax on your behalf, and assist you with your annual tax documentation.

RELOCATION ASSISTANCE  If you are required to relocate to Vietnam, you will be provided with a one-way air ticket to Vietnam for yourself and your direct dependents.  You will receive a one-off USD 10,000 relocation payment, and 2 weeks temporary accommodation on arrival.  We will support you with Visa, Work Permit, and Residence Card processes. We can support you to organise visas and flights for your spouse and/or children. However, the cost of this will be covered by you.  You will be provided with a one-way air ticket from Vietnam, for yourself and your direct dependents, on leaving RMIT Vietnam.

CONDITIONS  In accordance with Vietnamese Labour regulations, RMIT Vietnam issues 2-year fixed term contracts, which are extended by mutual agreement.  We offer local employment, and comply with Vietnamese labour and tax law.  Vietnam personal income tax rates are progressive to 35%. You can read more information on living and working in Vietnam (including tax) here.  Hours of work are 40 hours in a 5-day week, and out of hours work (including evenings, weekends and public holidays) may be required from time-to-time.
