The Next Iron Coat: National Design Challenge Issued by and Brother International Corporation

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Food Network’s newest reality competition, The Next , which premieres in October 2007, features eight prestigious chefs from around the country competing for the chance to join the legendary ranks of current Iron Chefs , , and . The winner will compete as the newest Iron Chef on the hit television show .

The competition on isn’t limited to who reigns supreme in kitchen stadium--- Food Network and Brother International Corporation have partnered in a challenge to design the official Iron Chef Coat, which will be presented to the newest Iron Chef, officially marking their first entrance into Kitchen Stadium, as well as to all the reigning Iron Chefs.

Starting Friday July 20th, design students from Parsons and the Fashion Institute of Technology, as well as all amateur design and sewing enthusiasts across America, will be invited to take up the challenge to design the next Iron Chef Coat. Brother, who offers basic to top-of-the-line sewing and embroidery machines will announce the contest in a mailing, and anyone can sign up for the contest at www.brother-foodnetwork.com.

Renowned designer Marc Ecko will judge the competition. "When the winner of 'Next Iron Chef' buttons up that coat, he or she is getting ready for a hardcore battle. Its part of the theater that makes Iron Chef America so engaging," stated Mr. Ecko. "I'm truly excited to see what America's designers bring to the table...stylish and modern but reflective of the prestige the Iron Chef title holds."

The winner will have the opportunity to come to to see the finale of The Next Iron Chef, and watch as their winning design is presented to all the Iron Chefs. In addition to serious bragging rights, the winner will receive a Brother Innov-ís QC1000 sewing/quilting machine to continue their craft.
