Denmark (outside Fyn) $ 2.6m It was first time that the island had hosted an ITU event, let alone in any of the three host cities. The duathlon (sprint and standard), aquabike and long distance EVENT EXPERIENCE triathlon races took place in Odense, while the cross triathlon race was held in Participants Svendborg, and the aquathlon race was staged in Middelfart. Positive experience 87% Attend future edition 85% The total spectator attendance during competition days was calculated to be 3,723, with 2,856 unique people attending the event over the five days of races. MEDIA It was calculated that 67% of spectators originated from outside of Fyn. Due to Live streaming the layout of the start and finishing areas at each host city, as well as to Live views (of races) 35,750 encourage attendance from all-comers, the event was non-ticketed. Live minutes viewed 229,478 In terms of participants, there were 3,043 entries for events at Fyn 2018 from Event website traffic (Fyn 2018) 2,738 different participants representing 48 nations and the ITU. Male athletes comprised 64% of participants with female athletes accounting for the other 36%. SOCIAL MEDIA It was calculated that the total tourism spend from Fyn 2018 was DKK 49.66 Posts 248 million ($7.8 million), of which over two-thirds was spent on the island of Fyn Likes / Favourites 110,054 (DKK 33.14 million / $5.2 million). With the creation of the World Triathlon Series in 2009, the Triathlon World Cup circuit became the ITU’s second-tier events. The World Cup circuit is a series of events comprising Standard distance (1.5km swim, 40km bike and 10km run), Sprint distance (750m swim, 20km bike and a 5km run) and two-day (semi-final/ final or Eliminator) format races. Published for the fourth year in a row, this ranking aims to capture the social media footprint of international sports federations and provide insightful takeaways of how different content leads to different outcomes. 2020 has been a year unlike any other for sports federations. Despite setback after setback, with cancellations and postponements of sporting events around the world, the year has been revolutionary for the whole sports industry. Since matches and tournaments were not taking place, sports fans had to look for other channels of engagement. They found what they were looking for on social media. This year’s ranking, as per previous years, includes international sports federations (IFs) from both the Winter and Summer Olympic programmes. In addition, for the first time, non-Olympic IFs have also been included. This should serve to increase the comparative and informative value of the IF Ranking. There is an inherent need to achieve common understanding on the nature, diagnosis, follow-up and treatment of different congenital conditions of the urinary tract and genitalia. This first meeting will focus on neurogenic bladder, hydronephrosis, congenital vesicoureteral reflux and Disorders of Sex Development. All sessions will be introduced by a short presentation by well-known panelists, followed by interactive case discussions with the audience, thus enabling participants to present and discuss cases in a multidisciplinary setting. Despite the harsh conditions, it has been nice to see that our members are finding ways to get in a workout. There have been a few days of reprieve and it is good to see our athletes enjoying these days. Your TGC leadership is hard at work preparing for the 2014 season. Chris Hicks and Gary Garza are moving swiftly on finalizing our club kit order. Our new look and design was popular, as we have seen a record amount of orders. We look forward to having these distributed in mid-March. Our Youth Race Director, Jim Hagy is busy orchestrating with the City, sponsors, traffic engineers, and community to make the Maritime de Luna Duathlon a premiere youth multisport event in NW Florida. Our Vice President, Alex Bell has been pounding away at our new TGC Bylaws and the necessary process to convert TGC to a 501c3 Tax Exempt status. Tom Henderson, Mere Mortals Chairman is already getting the permits for use of Casino Beach for each Mere Mortals session. Past Prez, Evan Malone, and TGC member Chris Rawson are coordinating the Xterra Wetsuit fitting for our athlete's in March. And yes, your current President, Mindi Straw, has already booked our 2014 End of Season Party! Plenty happening with the leadership, but of course it is the support of our TGC members that keep us motivated and moving forward.
