This is the improved MKII model Q, & was very popular. With the current owner since 1996, this machine has completed many Banbury runs and has just completed a charity ride to France. Very much made to a budget, and to the casual observer identical to a 1914 veteran Triumph. Surprising that Triumph Motorcycles got away with selling such an old dinosaur, it still has a manual oil-pump, plus as original, the valves run directly into the head, no valve guides were fitted. 205 1927 Norton 18 490 Pre 1950 Bike Details: Recently restored, this 1927 model 18 has been on a long road to get to this condition. Found 15 years ago completely dismantled in many boxes. The previous owner never got to see it restored to this condition, thanks Bill... 200 1936 Norton Manx 500 Pre 1950 Competition / Special Bike Details: An ex-works racer in unrestored condition. 86 1938 Rudge Sports Special 500 Pre 1950 Competition / Special Bike Details: The Sports Special 500cc model was introduced in 1937, production ceased in 1939. "Jenks" was one of Britain’s foremost motor racing journalists for four decades. Restoration has just been completed. 131 1947 Norton Manx 500 Pre 1950 Competition / Special Bike Details: This bike was raced early in its life, but its race history is not known. Now used for shows and track parades. With garden-gate frame, it has not been restored. 89 1947 Vincent Rapide Series 'B' 998 Pre 1950 Bike Details: Built from a wreck 11 years ago. Originally fitted with a sidecar, the previous owner broke down on the way back from the Isle of Man TT due to a broken cam-bolt but got home on one cylinder. Originally fitted with Triumph Herald wheels with home-made hubs and the wrong forks, it's been completely rebuilt. Matching numbers on engine and UFM, I have original RFM which needs a rebuild! BTH modern mag, electric start, 'Mcdougalator' alternator, 12V electrics, multi-plate clutch, 'D' shock-absorber (engine). Replica Lightning brakes, been on the road now for 11 years. First registered on 18th September 1947. 19 1948 Ariel Red Hunter 500 Pre 1950 Bike Details: First time at this show for this big single. 152 1949 AJS 16C 349 Pre 1950 Bike Details: First registered on 9th February 1949. Although originally a trials model, at present it's in road trim, fitted with road tyres and gearing, period dual seat and low level exhaust. In regular use, it's run trouble-free since the rebuild.
