JONNY SANTOS- VOCALS MIKE SARKISYAN-GUITAR ROB GARCIA-BASS TOMMY DECKER -DRUMS

Anger Denial Acceptance -the fourth record from Los Angeles’ very own Spineshank, is a testament to the hard work ethic that the band has been known for since it’s inception in the late 90’s. After three successful albums (, The Height Of Callousness, and Self –Destructive Pattern), countless world tours (including appearances on and the ) and a Grammy nomination in 2004, the band went on hiatus. Many thought that they would never hear from Spineshank again, until that is, the band regrouped in 2008 and after a few rehearsals and studio sessions were asked to join the 4 tour.

Anger Denial Acceptance is a product of two years of hard work and the band not settling for anything other than absolute perfection. Produced by Mike Sarkisyan and Tommy Decker and mixed by Mike Plotnikoff (, ) Anger Denial Acceptance surpasses anyone’s expectations of what Spineshank is capable of. Every word, every snare hit, and every riff on the record is there for a specific reason. From the brutal attack of “After The End” to the beautiful melodies of “Nothing Left For Me” and “Exit Wound” and the incredibly dynamic “I Want You To Know” Spineshank leave no stone unturned in the sonic landscape. “One of the hardest things about making this record was touching upon all these different emotions and making it sound like the same band” says drummer Tommy Decker. “The title track is really the centerpiece of this record. It starts at this really angry place, and ends with one of the quietest, most beautiful moments on the entire record. It takes you on an emotional rollercoaster” offers guitarist Mike Sarkisyan.

Lyrically, the underlying theme of Anger Denial Acceptance is the different stages of dealing with loss. It is the most honest the band has ever been, taking things from their own life experiences and putting it all out there. Says vocalist Jonny Santos: “This is the definitive Spineshank record, and I cannot wait for people to hear it.” Spineshank took its time in crating their most dynamic and honest record yet. “We had nothing to lose, there were no record label deadlines, no touring commitments, there was no one telling us what to do. We just took our time and made the best possible record we could have made. I think everyone is gonna be very surprised when they hear it” says Tommy Decker.

Anger Denial Acceptance is a testament to Spineshank’s perseverance. The record was made with virtually no budget and was plagued by numerous setbacks, most notably all of the bands equipment being stolen. Any other band would have folded, but this only fueled Spineshank’s will to overcome and turn all the negativity into a positive outcome. “ I felt like we had something to say as a band, and nothing on this earth was gonna stop us from doing that” says Mike Sarkisyan. The end result is nothing short of a masterpiece. Anger Denial Acceptance is here to leave a permanent mark in the world of music.
