President’s Message
Welcome to the General Motors China 2016-2017 Corporate Social Responsibility Report. We created this report to introduce the achievements of our company’s China operations in the important area of CSR.
Since 2012, China has been GM’s largest market in terms of deliveries. GM China, along with our joint ventures, once again enjoyed record sales in 2017.
Consumers today are judging companies by more than just their products and services. They are also judging companies by their commitment to their communities.
CSR is a cornerstone of GM’s success in China. Our company, employees and stakeholders are actively engaged in a range of projects across China – from education to environmental protection to safety. GM is also addressing the automotive industry’s sustainable growth through our products and manufacturing operations.
The automotive industry is in the midst of unprecedented change. The future of personal mobility will be driven by the convergence of electrification, autonomous vehicles, connectivity and shared mobility services.
