RESEARCH FOCUS The primary mission of the Biostatistics (BST) is to support FNUSA-ICRC investigators in the conduct of high-quality, innovative health-related research by providing expertise Mgr. Bc. Silvie BĚLAŠKOVÁ, Ph.D. in biostatistics, statistical programming, and data management. BST researchers E-mail: silvie.belaskovafnusa.cz and staff collaborate with investigators on all aspects of research: study and Phone: (+420) 543 185 482 grant development; data capture and statistical analysis; interpretation of results and manuscript preparation. The BST team contributes to all types of research, including EDUCATION basic science, clinical, epidemiological, and health services. BST current methodological research interests are in the areas of survival data, 2017:Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and Biostatistics, Palacký University, Olomouc, clinical trials, and biomarker studies, as motivated by problems that arise in studies of Czech Republic neurologic diseases and cancer. Research activities include study of the high order asymptotics, the saddlepoint 2007:Bc. in Law of Social Security Science, Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic approximation for the density and distribution function and study of delayed entry in Cox proportional hazards model. 2002: Mgr. in Theoretical Mathematics and Descriptive , Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic RESEARCH OBJECTIVES TRAINING Study of the accuracy of the p-value for semiparametric models 2013, 2014: Visiting Scientist, Faculty of Applications of mixed models methodology in biomedical research Biostatistics, LSU School of Public Health, Spatio-Temporal Modelling of Biological Signals New Orleans, LA, USA
