Michael Wilson, was a much loved and active Methodist who sadly passed away on April 16th, after a short but distressing illness. Ann lived in Brayton but worshipped at Thorpe Willoughby where she and Michael were very much involved. Ann originated from Staffordshire and it was in a Methodist Church in that part of the country she met and married Michael. When Michael became a minister, she became a minister’s wife and was an active support for his ministerial life, both Methodist involvement in the LEP feel at home. at home and in the church, as well as church at Thorpe Willoughby, Ann and Ann will be sadly and sorely missed being a full time mother and teacher. It involves half filling a plastic bottle with water and flipping it so that it lands on its base. Its popular with children, and why not? Its great fun! What an extraordinary thing; whoever thought of it? The Family Service on 15th April started with a series of Bottle Flips. I even had a go! We went on to consider how extraordinary we thought other things or activities could be - pancakes, sunsets, the Moonlight Sonata, and even concrete (more extraordinary than meets the eye, mark my words!). My favourite was Mrs Clarke’s offering of ‘Mountain Biking in Dalby Forest’; not only is this extraordinary, but at our age it is practically a miracle!
