The terminal currently houses 19 tanks with a total capacity of approximately 2.6 million barrels. Driven by market demand, the terminal will undergo an expansion, Community Awareness Emergency Response including construction of 10 additional tanks and related facility infrastructure. This will bring the terminal total storage capacity to 6.2 million barrels. The new tankage will be located within the existing Edmonton terminal boundaries, with construction scheduled to begin in May 2012 and the 10 new tanks in service by the end of 2013.
