Original Music by Mario Millo Music Engineering Cos Russo 'He's My Man' Composed and Arranged by Lucky Oceans Composer Mario Millo: At time of writing, Millo had an eponymous website here, which contained this biography, together with other details: Mario Millo was born in Sydney, Australia in May 1955 to Italian parents, both whom had musical backgrounds. His music career began at the age of five when his father taught him to play the mandolin. By nine, he had begun performing in various Sydney night-clubs and was fast becoming an accomplished guitar player. In 1967, at twelve years of age, he formed his first band, wrote his first song and two years later his second band "The Clik" were the winners of a major "battle of the bands" launching the group into mainstream live venues and their first record release. "The Clik" broke up in late 1973 and Millo decided to join Sydney band "Sebastian Hardie". It was with this band that he began to develop his unique writing style and in 1975, Sebastian Hardie released their debut album "Four Moments" which achieved gold status soon after its release. The bands second album "Windchase" was released a year later - both these albums were hailed as classic progressive rock performances, with Sebastian Hardie recognised as one of the most innovative rock bands of the seventies. The band toured Australia with many international acts including Santana, Lou Reed, Osibisa and Focus. Sebastian Hardie held their own alongside these major acts in the eyes and ears of audiences and the press with Millo's melodic and soulful guitar playing gaining the respect of legend guitarists Carlos Santana and Jan Akkermann and the praise of his many followers.

Limited In his DVD commentary, director Simon Wincer promises a discussion of the music for the film later in the commentary, noting that he had first worked with composer Mario Millo on the mini- series Against the Wind, which had been produced by Ian Jones, and his then wife Bronwyn Binns. But in the end Wincer settles for mentioning that composer Millo's father died during his writing of the score, which resulted in the end piece of thematic music being very emotional for Millo. According to Wincer, the theme, which appears over the end montage of the characters, with titles explaining what happened to them, was the first piece of music for the film that Millo wrote, and it embodied and established the themes used in the movie. As a result, it affected Millo when the music turned up in the mix. Wincer also mentions that, because the production had such a large orchestra, the band couldn't fit into a conventional recording studio, and as a result the score was recorded in the Robert Blackwell hall in Melbourne.

Download Boys' School
Boys' 10 School responsible for bringing in food. From golf course holes, to the Harbour Bridge to Rugby Stadiums, the boys enjoy the opportunity to express themselves! Once collected, our Year 8 students pack the food into the vans and take it to the Northern Presbyterian Food Bank to stock the shelves themselves. Again the message is clear – it is not just about donating, it is getting the boys actively involved in the organisation so that they can see first-hand what happens to the donations we make. Each year we support the World Vison 40 Hour Famine. This is an opportunity for our entire community to get behind a global organisation that makes a difference. Boys again understand what their sponsorship means to a community in need. Regular reports at Chapel and assembly inspire the boys to get involved. Raising over $25,000 each year for the past ‘To Serve and Lead three years speaks volumes. In recent years, our School Chaplain, along with the Senior Dean, implemented the Saint Kentigern Boys’ School Service Award where Year with Distinction’ 7 and 8 students are encouraged to serve others. Maintaining a record hen I first arrived at Saint Kentigern almost three years ago, the first of their service over the two years builds a mindset that helping others Wthing that stuck in my mind was the very real sense of community is a normal part of our lives. This service element of our Senior School that was evident. I quickly grasped that here was a community that lives continues to evolve with new initiatives requiring our boys to give of the values they talk about.

composer Mario Millo Music Assistant Cos Russo Composer Mario Millo: Mario Millo had a detailed wiki listing here, and an eponymous website with this brief biography, together with other details of his career in music (here, WM here): From eight years of age, Mario Millo has been playing guitar for increasingly enthusiastic audiences. By the late sixties he was progressing through local rock bands, until in 1973 he joined forces with Sydney powerhouse Sebastian Hardie. With Millo on guitar and his symphonic compositions, Sebastian Hardie cut a swathe through the Australian progressive rock scene, with two sublime albums, “Four Moments” and“Windchase.” When rock’n’roll stardom moved on, Mario Millo the musician continued to develop. He emerged as an award winning composer whose music became the soundtrack to popular Australian ﬁlm and television classics such as Against the Wind, The Lighthorsemen, Brides of Christ and Changi. Sebastian Hardie would never quite disappear though, and performances in the USA and Japan showed their international standing. In 2018 Mario Millo reclaimed his musical heritage where it matters most, on stage. Powerful performances with his cracking band in Tokyo, Sydney and Newcastle left audiences clamouring for more. With this talented band proving great music never dies, Mario Millo is back. Echolyn and American Progressive Rock John Covach Beginning in the late 1960s and continuing through most of the 1970s, British progressive- rock groups developed a style of music that privileged long, complicated pieces, employing a wide variety of musical techniques and features drawn from classical music. While the leading progressive rock groups were British, progressive-rock groups also formed in the United States. This study provides an overview of American progressive-rock bands since 1966, examining how these musicians attempted to blend elements of European art music with rock music. Musical excerpts from Starcastle, Kansas, Happy the Man, However, and U-Totem and others are considered. Recent music from the Philadelphia-band progressive- rock quintet echolyn is placed in the context of 1970s and 80s American progressive rock; analysis of portions of A Suite for the Everyman (1992) and Letters (1995), informed in part by scores and sketches provided the author by the group, detail how echolyn employs art- music compositional techniques in a rock setting in a way that blends "symphonic-prog" and "avant-prog" approaches.
