HOW DO I UPDATE MY ORCID RECORD?

GETTING STARTED Things you will need:  CV  DOIs or PMIDs (PubMed IDs) for your works

ADD YOUR SCHOLARLY WORKS INTO YOUR ORCID RECORD

1. Go to your ORCID record and Sign In.

2. Add your scholarly works (i.e., publications). Click Search & Link.

3. If you have authored more than 10 articles, click - and follow this guideline.

4. Click Authorize.

5. If you prefer to manually add individual articles using DOIs or PMIDs, go to step 11.

USING SCOPUS - ELSEVIER 6. Select your Scopus profile. (Note: You may have multiple Scopus profiles.) Click Next. 7. Review your authored publications. Select for your authored articles, otherwise select . Then, click Next.

8. Review the publication data to ensure that the data to be sent to ORCID is correct. Click Next. 9. Add your email address to receive a confirmation mail. Click Send Author ID.

10. Click Send my publication list

USING DOIs OR PUBMED IDs 11. Compare your publication list updated in ORCID to your CV publication list. If you find any missing articles, you can add them simply by using their DOIs or PMIDs.

For the articles that have a DOI, click “CrossRef Search”. For the articles that only have a PMID, click “Europe PubMed Central”.

12. Click Authorize for the resource.

DOI USING CROSSREF METADATA SEARCH 13. Search your articles with DOI. If you find your articles, click “ADD TO ORCID”

PMID USING EUROPE PMC SEARCH 14. Search your articles with PubMed ID. If you find your articles, select and click Continue.

ADD ITEMS MANUALLY 15. If you have publications without DOIs or PMIDs, you can also add the works manually.

16. If you have works deposited within the UT Southwestern , such as a conference poster, the identifier type to use is a handle.
