CONDITIONS OF SALE Conditions of Sale, including Temporary Additional Conditions of Sale applicable to Store Cattle, together with Pregnancy Guarantees, are displayed in the Sale Rings. Copies are available on request at the Office or on at www.anmarts.co.uk. Whilst every endeavour is made to indicate the correct total weight of and number in each lot, the Auctioneers do not hold themselves liable for any errors made in so doing.

13 DAY STANDSTILL : MARKETS • Livestock moving off a market or returning home unsold will always trigger a 13 day standstill on that holding, (20 days for pigs), unless for slaughter or if another specific exemption applies. • The use of approved Separation Facilities (agreed in advance with SGRPID) may allow movement to and from sales without affecting other stock on the holding. • It is the consignor’s responsibility to ensure that movements comply with current legislation. Further information is available from SGRPID, Thainstone Court, Inverurie. Agricultural Staff 01467 626222. Animal Health : 01467 626610.

CATTLE PASSPORTS Consignors should note that Cattle Passports are required for ALL ANIMALS BORN. The Passports must be traded with the animal and the relevant sections must be completed after each movement. Vendors are reminded they are responsible to Purchasers for the correctness of Passports. Please ensure that this completed and signed Movement Document together with the relevant passports travel with the animals to Market. It is the responsibility of all purchasers to check all documentation. Any Purchaser finding incorrect Documentation should notify the Auctioneers by 5 pm on the fourth day following the day of purchase otherwise the Auctioneers will not involve themselves in any dispute which will lie solely between Vendor and Purchaser

CATTLE IDENTIFICATION REGULATIONS 1998 (AS AMENDED) Cattle born after 1st January 1998 require to be double tagged with a Primary and a Secondary Tag. The Secondary Tags can either be another Primary Tag, a Button Tag or a Metal Tag. In the case of a two-piece eartag both pieces must be intact and bear the Ministry Logo. Blank backings or broken tags are not allowed. It is an offence to move cattle off your farm if they are not correctly double tagged before leaving your holding. Cattle discovered in market with only one Ear Tag which require to be double tagged will be licenced out of the Market by the Local Authority Inspector. The auctioneers will assist with Ear Tag problems only for those discovered in the market or licenced by the Local Authority.

FOOD CHAIN INFORMATION VETERINARY MEDICAL WITHDRAWALS Unless otherwise stated at the time of sale (either by the auctioneer, on the catalogue or the display screens) all livestock are sold as having completed all withdrawal periods for any veterinary medicines they have received. For any animals under treatment the details must be completed in the movement declaration form. It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that any animal destined for the food chain are outwith any withdrawal periods.

New Livestock keepers: Requirement to register with your Animal Health Office. New keepers of the main livestock species (cattle, sheep, goats, pigs) are required to register their herds and flocks, and the ‘‘holdings’’ they are kept on. This applies to any number of animals. VERSION1 JULY 2017
