BRADWELL WINDMILL OPENING ON HERITAGE WEEKEND

As with many other buildings that will be open to the public on Heritage weekend Bradwell Windmill will also be open on

Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th September from 1:30 to 4:30 pm.

You are welcome to come and look inside and it’s FREE!

During the first part of the afternoon the volunteers will be milling flour and you will be welcome to take home a sample of the flour which is the first to be produced at the mill for over 100 years.

The mill is a working machine as well as a building so some surfaces may be greasy and there may be splinters. Care has to be taken as there are low beams and trip hazards.

Due to lack of space the number of people allowed upstairs at any time has to be limited so you may have to wait.

For those that are unable to climb the steep stairs we hope to show, on the ground floor, a video of the upper parts of the mill.

This has been made possible by a grant from Stantonbury Parish Council and a contribution from MK Museum.

We hope you will enjoy your visit. STANTONBURY PARISH NEWS JUL/AUG 2016 05

Every year we see an increase in reports of graffiti and issues around the estates.

During the half term break, two of our dog bins (Bradville & Stantonbury) were pushed over and one bin needed replacing in its entirety. This cost the whole parish money to replace and re-site. Not only that, but the contents which are not nice, were scattered across a wide area requiring a clean-up.

If you witness or come across any vandalism within the estate please call the office on01908 227201 so we can organise someone to come out. If it is taking place please call 101 for the police.
