Bruce Dickinson to Join 'Heavy Metal Truants' Download Charity Bike Ride 'Maiden England' 2013 World Tour BRUCE DICKINSON TO JOIN ‘HEAVY METAL TRUANTS’ DOWNLOAD CHARITY BIKE RIDE raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust, Childline and Nordoff Robbins ‘MAIDEN ENGLAND’ 2013 WORLD TOUR PLAYING TO 1.2 MILLION FANS Following the recently announced news of the ‘Heavy Metal Truants’ charity bike ride to Download Festival at Castle Donington, organised by Iron Maiden manager Rod Smallwood and Metal Hammer editor Alexander Milas, it has now been announced that Maiden’s lead singer Bruce Dickinson will be flying in specially from Germany – following two sold-out Maiden shows in Frankfurt on the Tuesday and Wednesday – so he can join the HM Truants in cycling the final 25 mile leg of the bike ride into the Download Festival. The riders arrive on Friday June 14 th , the day before Iron Maiden’s headline appearance there in front of an expected 100,000 fans. This ride by the Metal fraternity is to raise funds for Teenage Cancer Trust, Childline and Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy. Asked how he felt about this most unconventional way to arrive at a major UK Festival where Maiden will be headlining on the Saturday night, June 15th, Bruce commented : “Yes, maybe it’s the first time the headliner has shown up on a bike, but I do use my bike to get around in London when l get the chance and have turned up at the BBC on a bike before, although the Commissioners were a bit surprised as they are too used to seeing limos! These are great causes, I am only sorry that due to our tour schedule l can’t do more of the ride, and hope our fans will support our efforts. I look forward to a day off after the ride seeing some great bands before we go into full Maiden action on the Saturday, with every intention of giving the fans a memorable show. Download and Metal fans are the best there are, so everyone expects something very special.” Starting on Wednesday, June 12th, over 40 riders will set off from Alexandra Palace, London, cycling 165 miles up to Donington Park, arriving as the first bands take to the Download stage on the afternoon of Friday 14th. The sponsored riders will also include band members from British Lion, Paradise Lost, Pendulum, Tesseract, Thunder, Trivium and Young Guns alongside music journalists (Hammer, Classic Rock, Prog), radio presenters (Planet Rock) and music industry participants including Parlophone, Sony Music, Universal/EMI, BMG Rights, 5B Artist Management, Raw Power Management, Phantom Management and The Agency plus even an MP, Mike Weatherley. Joining them will be a variety of heavy metal fans who have all signed up for three days of hard cycling to raise funds for these deserving Children’s Charities. The band’s Download Festival appearance marks a record FIFTH time that Iron Maiden have headlined at the legendary Donington Park, with their two Monsters Of Rock and three Download performances, and will be the 25 th Anniversary of the band’s first appearance there in 1988 to a (still) record audience of 107,000. The massive crowd who will be attending the band’s performance at Download Festival this summer is just one notable highlight of another huge year for Iron Maiden, who, over the summer, will play 44 shows to more than 1.2 million fans in 25 countries across Europe, the United States and Latin America (full tour dates at the end of this press release). While Download Festival marks Iron Maiden’s sole UK date this year, the band kick off their world tour next Monday in Spain and finish four and a half months later in Chile. Their European dates include the brand new 55,000 capacity Friends Arena in Stockholm where Iron Maiden became the first International band to be announced to play in the venue and sold out within minutes of going on sale; Istanbul’s 45,000 capacity BJK Inonu football stadium; Romania’s Constitution Plaza in Bucharest, playing in front of the Palace of the Parliament, Europe’s heaviest building!; Moscow’s Olympic Stadium and a further 26 shows in 15 countries across East and West Europe. The ‘Maiden England’ tour then rolls back into the United States, where it started last year with a mammoth run of North American concerts, and continues down to Latin America, where Iron Maiden headline the final night of Rock In Rio, having sold out all 70,000 tickets for their performance in just a few hours. The other headliners for the seven day festival are Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Muse, Metallica, Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi. Further Latin American dates include the enormous Foro Sol Stadium in Mexico City, the legendary River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires, a return to the 55,000 capacity National Stadium in Chile and Iron Maiden’s first-ever visit to Paraguay. There may be spaces available for a few more riders, so if you have the heart and the liver, check it out at www.heavymetaltruants.com - or go there to aid the cause with a donation!!! HARPERNONFICTION TO PUBLISH ROCK LEGEND, IRON MAIDEN’S BRUCE DICKINSON THIS AUTUMN FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 26th July 2017 This Autumn HarperNonFiction are publishing What Does This Button Do?, the hugely anticipated memoir from Iron Maiden frontman and rock legend, Bruce Dickinson. Heavy metal pioneers since their formation in 1975, Iron Maiden have sold over 90 million albums and played over 2000 shows in 63 countries, making them one of the most successful and globally influential bands of all time. One of the world’s most storied musicians, Bruce Dickinson has been the band’s internationally- acclaimed lead singer for more than 30 years, and quite aside from the decades spent delivering high- octane performances with his larger-than-life persona, Bruce has lived an extraordinary off-stage existence too. A true polymath, Bruce is, or has been, an airline pilot and captain, an aviation entrepreneur, a beer brewer, motivational speaker, film scriptwriter, twice-published novelist, radio presenter, TV actor and a world-class fencer. Over the last couple of years, and throughout Iron Maiden’s The Book Of Souls World Tour, which has covered 39 countries and 117 shows since February 2016, Bruce has turned his unbridled creativity to writing his memoirs, longhand (in seven A4 notebooks no less). In What Does This Button Do?, Bruce (a man who famously never gives interviews about his personal life) shares, for the first time, the most fascinating recollections, including his thirty years with Maiden, the early days, his childhood within the eccentric British school system, going solo, realising his dream of flying jumbo jets and his recent battle with tongue cancer.

Organization of a large scale music event: planning and production Tatiana Caciur Thesis MUBBA 2012 Abstract 17.1.2012 MUBBA Author or authors Group or year of Tatiana Caciur entry 2008 Title of report Number of Organization of a large scale music event: planning and pages and production. appendices 54 + 4 Teacher/s or supervisor/s Heta-Liisa Malkavaara Live entertainment is currently one of the few vital components of the music industry as it struggles to survive in the XXI century and conform to the drastic changes on the music market. Music events occur in great amount on a daily basis and it is important to plan and produce them in the right manner in order to stay relevant and secure one‟s place on the market. This report introduces various crucial matters that require attention during event organization process, such as marketing and strategic planning, communication and promotion, risk management, event programming and capacity management, to name a few. The 5-phase project management model is applied as the base on which this thesis is built. The research is conducted by comparing the theoretical and practical approach used in the music event business. The practical approach is based on examinations and interviews with the world market leader in live entertainment – Live Nation. An additional analysis of practices used in other large and successful music events in Europe and USA is also conducted. As this thesis shows, the practical approach is often easier and less rigorous than the theory. Some of the steps in this process may be simply omitted due to being considered of little relevance by the management team, many other are outsourced to professional agencies depending on requirements (security, catering).

Thus, he was voted a living example of a polymath by Intelligent Life magazine in Reviews Schrijf een review. This is why this book is dedicated to Bruce as a songwriter, as a poet of lyrics, some of which represent little masterpieces - even without music. Their ambiguity holds some surprises. Prior to joining that band Dickinson enjoyed stardom with Samson, while his post-Maiden solo career has brought much critical success. He ate the meal in the secure knowledge that after his death he would return again! The subjects are extremely interesting and Bruce succeeds in artfully getting to the heart of them. Their ambiguity holds some surprises. Not a light read, but entertaining in its own way nonetheless. Bold, honest, intelligent and very funny, his memoir is an up-close look inside the life, heart, and mind of one of the most unique and interesting men in the world; a true icon of rock. All information's there if people choose to dig for it. Bibliografische Informationen. Carlson Publisher: Lulu. This book tells his story through interviews with those who know him best. Quiet reflection has been shown to calm the mind and help retain information. The final rites were performed by the novelist Louis Marlowe reading extracts from Crowley's "Book of the Law". • Blaze Bayley, Risactonia, Black Atom @ Caesar's
BLAZE BAYLEY CAESAR’S PALACE, MONDAY 5TH MARCH ‘This is a song about how machines are going to take over the world. Because when that happens, there will be a Second Messiah!’ Like, yeah Blaze, whatever man. Let’s get this straight: I don’t like Iron Maiden. I can’t hear that name without thinking of widdly guitar solos, pompous over-the-top lyrics, grown men in shorts, Dungeons & Dragons, scampi flavour Nik-Naks, sacrificial virgins - you get the picture. So what am I doing at a gig whose main attraction is Blaze Bayley, the man who fronted Maiden through what is considered to have been their worst years? Well, there is the added bonus of Risactonia and Black Atom, two bands that are always good to watch. And I have been informed that Blaze’s solo material sounds nothing like that of his previous employers. Anyway, who can resist a good metal gig? This is Aberdeen after all, a lonely outpost that plays host to such diverse names as David Gray and Coldplay. It’s just too good an opportunity to miss. By the time Blaze come on, a steady crowd has gathered, largely made up of old Maiden fans, who seem to crawl out of the woodwork whenever such events come around, plus a good number of metal kids. Even Fudge decide to grace us with their presence. Black seems to be the colour of choice tonight. The band are dressed in black. The stage is black. And I am wearing, well, white for some reason. The other thing I should mention about the stage is the huge drum-kit that takes up half of it.

For more information: Thomas Bolding Public Relations Specialist 618-772-8029 [email protected] Phantom Music Management FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE UP THE IRONS: THE SATTELITE FRONTIER January 27, 2013, London, UK – Iron Maiden will expand their music catalog into satellite through a partnership with Sirius XM radio. The partnership aims for a Maiden and heavy metal-exclusive radio program for metal head subscribers. The program will be titled: Up the Irons. The program is set to launch Monday, January 28 in the US and UK. After the success of the band’s 2010 album, The Final Frontier, Steve Smith and co. have decided to branch out further into the radio world. “We received multiple suggestions on how to further reach our fan base. After careful consideration, and somewhat-chaotic research, we’ve decided Sirius XM radio brings us closer to casual metal listeners. Some radio stations contacted us in the past and even helped our success with Number of the Beast and so on, but XM provides the seclusion, the listener-friendly experience. And that’s what we want the most – for our fans, and music fans in general, to be happy,” said assistant band manager Roy Schofield. Maiden plans to promote The Final Frontier, but also works from their classic catalogue including: Powerslave, Killers, and Number of the Beast. In collaboration with other metal acts, the radio program aims to build an appreciation of heavy metal and its various sub-genres. “You’ll get Run to the Hills, but you may even hear Rime of the Ancient Mariner, or even Phantom of the Opera.

  • NOS Alive: Let There Be Rock!
M-A-1713 0-04-17-0249-0 NOS Alive: Let there be Rock! Qual o caminho a seguir? AESEinsight – Uso exclusivo para Alumni AESE #BusinessKnowledge Agosto/2021 Por outro lado, o NOS Alive representava uma parte de um plano de maior visão para a EiN: o de se tornar um player em todo o contexto turístico português.
