These opinions are my own, & where I recall purchasing these books in the past. They may no longer be available. IV. Meditation A. The Training of the Mind - Alan Bennett About Magick Do not scatter your energy by attempting to do more than one magickal working at a time. Remember that magick is the manipulation of energy, a thought is a form of energy and a visualization is an even stronger form of energy. Your visualization can be a method used to intensify further and direct your will. Your visualization can be the method by which you control the magickal energy you have produced. You must know what you want. You must see it. You must feel the high energy flow. You must direct it. One of the most important elements in the practice of any form of magick is the universal law of cause and effect. This means that whatever you do (or don't do) you cause something to happen. The most important consideration is the universal law of retribution. This means that no matter what you do, it comes back to you in like kind. It is the nature of things that as you send something out it gains momentum, so that, by the time it comes back to you, it is three times stronger. If you do something nice for someone, someone will do something nicer for you. "As you weave and Spin your spell, Three fold return the tale will tell." About Magick You cast spells every time you wish for something, good or bad; most of the time you're not even aware of it. Since you don't have a technique, it takes a while for your wishes to come true. Even worse: in a rage- you may wish for something you don't really want to happen! Why not add some culture to your spell casting and more awareness of what it may bring? In the same time becoming more responsible and aware of your actions, desires and thoughts and keep the atmosphere and your head clean from small unworthy intentions. Thus, magick work can also be a powerful self-healing technique, similar to a psychotherapy. All you see around, all the nature is made out of five elements: ether, air, fire, water and earth. This fact is taken from Vedic knowledge and every other culture has equivalents of this fact. The Pentagram symbol, that was used in witchcraft since times immemorial, represent the unity of the five elements in nature and all living things. Every magick work is based on manipulation of this five elements. It doesn't really matter what element you use to complete your task, main thing is to have a good connection, or understanding, of the element you work with. The choice of the element depends on the nature of the spell and also on your personality. Let's say, if you have a lot's of planets in water and air signs in your natal chart, you might naturally have a better connection with the elements of water and air, and it will be easier for you to work with this elements. So, it might be a good idea to do your full natal chart reading by professional astrologer just to know what elements are predominant in your body and your personality. You can adjust everything in your life accordingly and create a balance. Another support in your work you can gain from planets. Traditionally, the power of moon is used love magick, sun - in white, or healing magick. Perform the spell on the waxing (growing) moon when you want to gain, and on waning moon when you want to get rid of something. Full moon is the most powerful moment to gain, new moon- to cast away. If you do a spell involving sun energies, sunrise, noon and sundown are the most powerful times, where noon corresponds to a full moon. General rules for any magick work: Take purifying shower or bath. Burn white sage to purify the place there you will do your work. Perform pentagram ritual if you working with elements. If you work with Gods & Goddesses, make an offer to the God or Goddess you will invoke and ask for help- or just connect with them. Make a clear statement of your desire. Perform the ritual. After you done with the ritual, save remains of your spell as amulets or bury in the ground, cast in the living body of water like river or the ocean or let the wind take care of it, but never discard as a trash. Magick is intimate. It's based on relationship to Gods, the personifications of powers and elements; and here intimacy is the only way of communication. That's why it is said that magick work connected with sexuality: sex, on any level, is intimate. Kama Sutra denotes that every woman should be familiar with sorcery among other arts such as composing poems and cooking, women are the embodiment of sex and magick. And knowledge of Love magick is especially important, since sex is a feminine domain.

Plaisance E-mail: [email protected] Abstract This is an article in the history of Western esoteric currents that re-examines and clarifies the relationship between esoteric and psychological discourses within the works of Israel Regardie. One of the most common ways in which these two discourses have been found to be related to one another by scholars of the esoteric is through the process of “psychologization”— with Regardie often being put forth as a paragon of the process. This paper argues that a unitary conception of psychologization fails to adequately describe the specific discursive strategies utilized by Regardie. In order to accurately analyze his ideas, a manifold typology of complementary, terminological, reductive, and idealist modes of psychologization is proposed instead. Through this system of classification, Regardie’s ideas regarding the relationship between psychological and esoteric discourses are understood as a network of independent but non-exclusive processes, rather than as a single trend. It is found that all four modes of psychologization are present, both in relative isolation and in combination with one another, throughout his works. These results demonstrate that while it is accurate to speak of Regardie as having psychologized esoteric discourse, this can only be the case given an understanding of “psychologization” that is differentially nuanced in a way that, at least, accounts for the distinct discursive strategies this paper identifies.     Deus Ex Machina? Witchcraft and the Techno-World Venetia Robertson Introduction Sociologist Bryan R. Wilson once alleged that post-modern technology and secularisation are the allied forces of rationality and disenchantment that pose an immense threat to traditional religion.1 However, the flexibility of pastiche Neopagan belief systems like ‘Witchcraft’ have creativity, fantasy, and innovation at their core, allowing practitioners of Witchcraft to respond in a unique way to the post-modern age by integrating technology into their perception of the sacred. The phrase Deus ex Machina, the God out of the Machine, has gained a multiplicity of meanings in this context. For progressive Witches, the machine can both possess its own numen and act as a conduit for the spirit of the deities. It can also assist the practitioner in becoming one with the divine by enabling a transcendent and enlightening spiritual experience. Finally, in the theatrical sense, it could be argued that the concept of a magical machine is in fact the contrived dénouement that saves the seemingly despondent situation of a so-called ‘nature religion’ like Witchcraft in the techno-centric age. This paper explores the ways two movements within Witchcraft, ‘Technopaganism’ and ‘Technomysticism’, have incorporated man-made inventions into their spiritual practice. A study of how this is related to the worldview, operation of magic, social aspect and development of self within Witchcraft, uncovers some of the issues of longevity and profundity that this religion will face in the future. Witchcraft as a Religion The categorical heading ‘Neopagan’ functions as an umbrella that covers numerous reconstructed, revived, or invented religious movements, that have taken inspiration from indigenous, archaic, and esoteric traditions.

    RITUALS AND TECHNIQUES OF VAMPIRIC MAGICK Three sections on magickal practices related to vampirism, including a discussion on the techniques of psychic vampirism, a ritual to attract and/or thank vampiric entities, and a report on the creation of a vampiric servitor (not fully tested at this point). The Practice of Psycho-Magickal Vampirism What is psychic vampirism? Basically, draining (and in the method I am detailing, absorbing) energy from other people, often against their will or at least without their knowledge And what does it do for you? It increases magickal power and sensitivity, and makes one feel more energetic, adds to vitality. Many people do it unconsciously. For example, have you ever met someone who it tired and drained you just to be in the same room with? That is a perfect example of unconscious psychic vampirism. People who do it unconsciously don’t usually store the energy in themselves, but rather disperse it uselessly into their surroundings. So how does one perform psychic vampirism? Psychic vampirism is largely performed through visualisation and lots and lots of practice. One way to do it is to target a person and just visualise energy inside and around them. Some people can see it normally so they don't have to visualise - people who can see and manipulate auras will have a definite advantage here. You then try to pull the energy out of the person. Feel it gathering inside you, and see it leaving them. Feel the build up of energy revitalizing you, making you tingle with what feels like static electricity, and draw it all into yourself, feeling it invigorating you.

M any teachers from various spiritual paths stress the importance of this mysterious being, w hile each of them tend to mean something different by the term. In many cases, folks are just referring to a kind of Angelic bodyguard that keeps one (especially children) out of harm’s w ay. In other instances, it is treated as a kind of metaphorical construct for deeper spiritual truths- an embodiment of all that is good about a person. Students of modern W estern occultism might be most familiar w ith the equation of the H oly G uardian Angel and one’s ow n H igher Self. It is my hope that this essay w ill help make some sense of the w hole confusing matter.
