Pete Allison Presenter, & Absolute Radio 90’s & 00’s

Pete Allison has presented on four of the UK's major radio brands, both for the BBC and in commercial radio.

Pete currently hosts Absolute Radio’s Early Breakfast show at weekends and Monday mornings as well as being BBC Radio 1’s Early Breakfast cover presenter.

After joining Nottingham Trent University in 2009, he became involved in the university's student radio station, Fly FM. By the end of his first year, he had been nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2010 Student Radio Awards.

Pete was shortlisted in Radio's Stars of 2011 talent search for budding student radio talent and later joined the station to cover across the schedule and host a Sunday evening show. His first live presenting gig was covering 90s Anthems across Bauer's Yorkshire portfolio.

Later that year, Pete was twice nominated at the 2011 Student Radio Awards. He went on to win Gold as Best Male Presenter, an accolade previously given to BBC Radio 1's Greg James, while winning Bronze for Best Entertainment Programme.

Pete then joined Q Radio's weekend schedule and began covering weekend overnights across the Bauer network on stations including Key 103, Radio City and Hallam FM.

At the end of 2011, Pete made his debut on in Birmingham, hosting a week of overnights. Soon after, he joined Capital Yorkshire to host weekend breakfast and began regularly covering on drive time. He also appeared on Capital Manchester.

As a result of winning Best Male Presenter, Pete was offered the opportunity to cover early breakfast on BBC Radio 1 in June 2012. After a nine-month stint at Capital Yorkshire, he left and moved to .

Pete joined BBC Radio 1 in March 2013 to deputise on Early Breakfast and became the regular cover presenter for the slot. Pete made his Absolute Radio debut in November 2013 and soon moved to host Weekend Early Breakfast.
