This paper combines the publicly available emissions data from these organizations and government bodies, as well as data that ICCT purchased from a commercial provider, to compare official laboratory-test and on-road nitrogen oxide (NOX) emissions for 541 Euro 5 and Euro 6 diesel passenger cars, representing 145 of the most popular European models. Previous research found that there is a gap between type-approval and real-world carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions that has grown from less than 10% in 2001 to 42% in 2015 (Tietge et al., 2016).

Der Kleinwagen überzeugt vor allem durch sein gutes Platzangebot. Sowohl vorne D als auch hinten steht für die Fahrzeugklasse viel Raum zur Verfügung. Auch der Kofferraum bietet ein ordentliches Stauvolumen. Die Bedienung des aufgeräumten Cockpits ist – typisch für Hyundai – einfach und stellt keinen Fahrer vor große Herausforderungen. Das Fahrwerk ist ausgewogen und bietet durchaus Komfort. Der Sitzkomfort ist allerdings nur durchschnittlich. Die Verarbeitung des in Tschechien gebauten und in Deutschland entwickelten Koreaners ist überraschend hochwertig. Leider ist die Rundumsicht nicht sonderlich gut, die Kopfstützen hinten sind zu niedrig und der Wendekreis fällt recht groß aus – vor allem bei häufigen Stadtfahrten ärgerlich. Bei der Langzeitqualität kann der Hyundai ix20 ebenfalls nicht voll überzeugen. Bei der Hauptuntersuchung schneidet der Minivan zwar durchschnittlich ab, allerdings bei im Schnitt geringer Laufleistung. Vor allem die Feder- Dämpfer-Einheit verursacht häufig Probleme. In der ADAC Pannenstatistik liegt der Kompaktwagen weit unter dem Durchschnitt auf einem der letzten Plätze. Empfehlung: Wir empfehlen ein Modell mit den Ausstattungslinien Trend oder Style, die wichtige Dinge wie eine Klimaautomatik serienmäßig bieten. Der Einstiegsbenziner mit 90 PS reicht in dieser Fahrzeugklasse prinzipiell aus, will für zügiges Vorankommen aber ordentlich gedreht werden. Wir empfehlen daher etwas mehr Geld für das spürbar kräftigere Aggregat mit 1,6 Liter Hubraum und 125 PS zu investieren. Im Alltag braucht dieser zudem kaum mehr Sprit. Die antiquierte Automatik für diesen Motor erhöht allerdings den Spritverbrauch merklich und macht den Minivan träge.
