7 School Bus Services in Bolton September 2019 to July 2020 Journeys in this leaflet operate on schooldays only, unless otherwise stated. Although provided primarily for school students, members of the public may use these services with the exception of Yellow School Buses. Services are listed alphabetically under school names. An introduction to School buses and concessionary fares for students in Greater Manchester Passengers can pay a fare to the driver for each journey shown on this timetable. However, students will need to show an IGO pass to travel at the concessionary (reduced) fare. If students do not have an IGO pass, they will have to pay a higher fare. Most of the journeys shown in this timetable are funded by Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM). The majority of TfGM funded services charge a standard fare and also offer daily return tickets. In some cases, the return ticket can also be used for travel on other journeys which serve similar areas – even if it is provided by a different operator. On most services, students can also buy a weekly scholar’s ticket, which costs £7.40. These are ONLY valid on schooldays on school buses and are available from the bus driver on all services where they are applicable. To help the driver, please try to have the correct fare when buying your ticket. A summary of fares and ticketing information on all school services included in this timetable can be found at https://www.tfgm.com/tickets-and-passes/bus-school-bus-services There are also a small number of TfGM funded services where the operator sets the fares.

  • Impact of Building Schools for the Future Announcement of Monday 5 July 2010
Impact of Building Schools for the Future announcement of Monday 5 July 2010 1. This list sets out the impact on schools of the announcement on Building Schools for the Future (BSF) made by the Secretary of State for Education on Monday 5 July 2010. It has been produced by Partnerships for Schools (PfS) after validation at senior level in Local Authorities and rigorously checked by the Department for Education, including by making telephone contact with every Local Authority listed and with all affected Academy sponsors. 2. This process of checking has been necessary because of the complexity of the BSF process, to ensure the accuracy of this list and, in particular, because, to date, PfS has collected data from Local Authorities about BSF schools as they progressed. Rather than micromanaging individual schools, PfS has relied on Local Authority-level information. 3. All Local Authorities which were participating in BSF are listed, plus those who have had one school pathfinders or academies built or being built through the Partnerships for Schools Academies Framework. That is 102 Local Authorities out of a total of 152. And every school which was included within a Local Authority project is listed and is categorised as either ‘open’, ‘unaffected’, ‘for discussion’ or ‘stopped’. 1592 schools are listed in total. 159 are categorised as ‘open’, 547 as ‘unaffected’, 151 as ‘for discussion’ and 735 as ‘stopped’. 4. For simplicity, and because large numbers of pupils cross constituency boundaries to attend school, this list does not provide a breakdown of schools by constituency. 5. There are many examples of Local Authorities in this list having schools in more than one of these categories.

Decision: Background Doc(s): Page 1 of 11 1. Introduction This report provides detailed information on Bolton Councils Recycling in Schools 2. Background Since September 2006 many schools with a commercial waste contract have been visited across Bolton and been provided with collections of glass, cans and plastic bottles and also given advice on other items that can be recycled at schools such as paper, composting, mobile phones and textiles. Schools are also encouraged to reduce, reuse and recycle as much of there waste as possible. Schools are also advised of the Eco- schools programme. Once recycling containers are implemented into the school, this is then followed with a recycling talk to the school assembly/ies and also where requested talks to individual classes. The school talk, involves interaction with the children such as “What happen to your rubbish?” both at home and in school and what rubbish can be recycled into. K9 the recycling Dog is then introduced and the children help K9 sort out his rubbish into what can be recycled.
