ABOUT SUSAN SUSAN WORKED FOR THE ONTARIO MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE, FOOD AND RURAL AFFAIRS FOR OVER 35 YEARS. FOLLOWING RETIREMENT IN 2007, SUSAN BECAME A TRUSTEE WITH THE ONTARIO 4-H FOUNDATION. SHE ALSO SITS AS A PUBLIC MEMBER ON THE HORTON TOWNSHIP GENERAL GOVERNMENT COMMITTEE AND HAS TAUGHT COURSES ON COMMUNICATIONS AND CRITICAL THINKING FOR ALGONQUIN COLLEGE IN PEMBROKE. SUSAN AND HER HUSBAND DOUG ARE LONG TIME RESIDENTS HOW TO GET IN TOUCH OF HORTON TOWNSHIP AND THE TOWN OF RENFREW. TRUSTEE MORRIS IS ALSO A MEMBER OF THE SPECIAL EDUCATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE, POLICY REVIEW COMMITTEE AND IS CHAIR OF THE AUDIT COMMITTEE. HE WAS A TRUSTEE ON THE RENFREW COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION, REPRESENTING PETAWAWA FOR FIFTEEN YEARS, FROM 1976 TO 1991. TRUSTEE MORRIS FIRMLY BELIEVES THAT EVERY STUDENT IS ENTITLED TO THE BEST EDUCATION POSSIBLE AND THAT AVAILABLE RESOURCES BE UTILIZED IN THE MOST EFFECTIVE AND EFFICIENT MANNER POSSIBLE TO ATTAIN THAT END. HE BELIEVES IN THE INCLUSION OF ALL STUDENTS IN OUR SCHOOLS AND STRONGLY SUPPORTS THE PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN PARENTS AND THE SCHOOLS IN THE EDUCATION OF OUR YOUNG PEOPLE. September 2019 Y O U R S C H O O L B O A R D T R U S T E E MARJORIE ADAM Deep River; Township of Laurentian Hills, Clara and Maria MacKenzie Community School ABOUT MARJORIE MARJORIE ENJOYED A LONG CAREER IN EDUCATION, INCLUDING 37 YEARS WITH THE RCDSB AS TEACHER AND PRINCIPAL IN BOTH ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN DEEP RIVER, PETAWAWA AND PEMBROKE. SHE TAUGHT ALL GRADES FROM K TO 13, COACHED TRACK AND CROSS-COUNTRY AND OFTEN COLLABORATED WITH THE CURRICULUM AND STUDENT SUCCESS TEAMS. AFTER RETIREMENT SHE HAS TRAVELLED WIDELY, JOINED A ROTARY CLUB, VOLUNTEERED IN THE COMMUNITY AND KEPT ON RUNNING. SHE LIVES IN DEEP RIVER AND HAS SERVED AS EDITOR OF THE NORTH RENFREW TIMES AND AS A TOWN COUNCILLOR. ABOUT MIKE LEO MOVED TO PEMBROKE IN THE MID-80'S TO WORK FOR THE PEMBROKE GENERAL HOSPITAL AMBULANCE SERVICE. HE QUICKLY REALIZED THAT THIS COMMUNITY WOULD BE HIS "FOREVER HOME" AND BECAME INVOLVED WITH THE JACKRABBIT SKI PROGRAM AND TOASTMASTERS. LEO FOUND HIS TRUE CALLING ONCE HIS ELDEST CHILD STARTED AT A COOPERATIVE NURSERY SCHOOL, AND HE BECAME A PERMANENT VOLUNTEER. LEO ENJOYS LOOKING FOR RARE BIRDS, TAKING DIGITAL PHOTOS AND PLAYING "OLD DUDE" HOCKEY. NIC IS CURRENTLY STUDYING SOCIOLOGY AND CONCURRENT EDUCATION AT LAKEHEAD UNIVERSITY IN THUNDER BAY. ABOUT MIKE MIKE RETIRED IN JUNE 2017 AFTER 33 YEARS WITH THE RCDSB EMPLOYED AS A SCHOOL SUPPORT COUNSELLOR. HE AND HIS WIFE MONA HAVE TWO ADULT CHILDREN, MELISSA AND MARC. ABOUT DAVE DAVE FIRST STARTED AS A TRUSTEE IN 1985 WHEN HE RETIRED FROM ATOMIC ENERGY IN 1998 WITH 32 YEARS SERVICE AND WAS OWNER/OPERATOR OF SHIELDS PHOTOGRAPHY FOR MANY YEARS.
