ABOUT MIKE LEO MOVED TO PEMBROKE IN THE MID-80'S TO WORK FOR THE PEMBROKE GENERAL HOSPITAL AMBULANCE SERVICE. HE QUICKLY REALIZED THAT THIS COMMUNITY WOULD BE HIS "FOREVER HOME" AND BECAME INVOLVED WITH THE JACKRABBIT SKI PROGRAM AND TOASTMASTERS. LEO FOUND HIS TRUE CALLING ONCE HIS ELDEST CHILD STARTED AT A COOPERATIVE NURSERY SCHOOL, AND HE BECAME A PERMANENT VOLUNTEER. LEO ENJOYS LOOKING FOR RARE BIRDS, TAKING DIGITAL PHOTOS AND PLAYING "OLD DUDE" HOCKEY. ABOUT MIKE MIKE RETIRED IN JUNE 2017 AFTER 33 YEARS WITH THE RCDSB EMPLOYED AS A SCHOOL SUPPORT COUNSELLOR. HE AND HIS WIFE MONA HAVE TWO ADULT CHILDREN, MELISSA AND MARC. MOST OF MIKE'S CAREER WAS SPENT AT FELLOWES HIGH SCHOOL. HE ALSO SPENT SEVERAL YEARS IN THE ELEMENTARY SYSTEM AT THE FORMER HILLCREST AND WESTMEATH, AND AT THE COBDEN DISTRICT PUBLIC SCHOOL. HOW TO GET IN TOUCH WHEN HIS CHILDREN WERE OF SCHOOL AGE, HE COACHED HOCKEY IN SHADY NOOK BUT IS BEST KNOWN FOR HIS MANY YEARS OF COACHING SOCCER AT FELLOWES HIGH SCHOOL 569 Elizabeth Street AND FOR THE PEMBROKE SOCCER CLUB'S HOUSE LEAGUE Pembroke, ON AND COMPETITIVE TEAMS. k8a 1w7 613-732-4767 MIKE AND HIS FAMILY ENJOY GETTING TOGETHER AT THE COTTAGE TO ENJOY MANY OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES. ABOUT DAVE DAVE FIRST STARTED AS A TRUSTEE IN 1985 WHEN HE RETIRED FROM ATOMIC ENERGY IN 1998 WITH 32 YEARS SERVICE AND WAS OWNER/OPERATOR OF SHIELDS PHOTOGRAPHY FOR MANY YEARS. SINCE 2003, HE HAS BEEN ELECTED TO VARIOUS POSITIONS WITH THE ONTARIO PUBLIC SCHOOL BOARD ASSOCIATION INCLUDING DIRECTOR, CHAIR OF THE POLICY DEVELOPMENT WORK TEAM AND VICE PRESIDENT OF THE EASTERN REGION.HE WAS PRESIDENT OF THE CHALK RIVER LABS TOASTMASTERS CLUB AND HAS DEVOTED MOST OF HIS LIFE SERVING HIS COMMUNITY INCLUDING INVOLVEMENT IN THE LIONS CLUB WHERE HE SERVED AS BEACHBURG CLUB PRESIDENT, REGIONAL CHAIRMAN AND DEPUTY DISTRICT GOVERNOR, EASTER SEAL TELETHON COORDINATOR AND HONORARY CANCER SURVIVOR FOR THE WHITEWATER RELAY FOR LIFE. DAVE SPENT A TERM ON BEACHBURG MUNICIPAL COUNCIL AND HELD POSITIONS WITH A VARIETY OF HEALTH INITIATIVES HOW TO GET IN TOUCH INCLUDING CHAIR OF THE WHITEWATER/BROMLEY COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER BOARD AND MORE RECENTLY PATIENT Box 171, 1645 Beachburg Road REPRESENTATIVE ON THE NORTH RENFREW HEALTH LINKS STEERING COMMITTEE.
