A new course in B.F.A Sculpture by the Department of Painting was inaugurated on 3rd September 2013. The department conducted an art exhibition and a talk by renowned artist and curator Bose Krishnamachari and a slide presentation by sculptor Valsan Koorma Kolleri.

The seminar turned out to be the first serious interface with various aspects of Tamil literature in the university campus.
