Türkçenin tamlama yapısına aykırı olan bozuk tamlamaların çoğu ᴀᴛ kısaltmasıyla gösterilmiştir (bazılarında koymadım): Ayrışık tamlama [tmesis; tamlanan durumdaki iç tamlamayı ayrıştırıp araya tamlayanı koyarak yapılan ve ortaya anlatılmak istenen anlamın dışında bir anlam çıkaran bozuk tamlamadır] : dev Japon semenderi (= Japon dev-semenderi), dev Çin semenderi (= Çin dev- semenderi), sivri-burunlu bahçe faresi (= bahçe sivri-burunlu-faresi), sivri-burunlu Kafkas faresi (= Kafkas sivri-burunlu-faresi), sivri-burunlu kır faresi (= kır sivri-burunlu-faresi), sivri-burunlu su faresi (= su sivri-burunlu-faresi), sivri-burunlu bahçe faresi (= bahçe sivri-burunlu-faresi). Cicadina 18 (2019): 17-26 17 Response to “On the evolution of the tymbalian tymbal organ: Comment on “Planthopper bugs use a fast, cyclic elastic recoil mechanism for effective vibrational communication at small body size” by Davranoglou et al. 2019” Leonidas-Romanos Davranoglou1, Alice Cicirello, Beth Mortimer, Graham K. Taylor Zusammenfassung: Kommunikation über Vibrationssignale in der Gruppe der Spitzkopf- zikaden (Hemiptera: Fulgoromorpha) ist allgegenwärtig, doch war der zugrundeliegende Mechanismus bis zu einem kürzlich erschienenen Artikel von Davranoglou et al. (2019) un- bekannt.

  • Erection of a New Family in the Lepidopterous Suborder Dacnonypha
Entomologiske M eddelelser 35 (1967) 341 Erection of a New Family in the Lepidopterous Suborder Dacnonypha. By N. P. Kristensen Zoological Institute, University of Copenhagen. The homoneurous moth genus Jlgathiphaga was described by Dumbleton in 1952. The genus comprises two species, occuring in Queensland (Australia) and on Fiji, respectively; the larvae of both feed in the seeds of Kauri pines (Agathis). The adult ana tomy indicated affinities to both Micropterygidae and Eriocranii dae; Dumbleton decided however, that the weight of evidence was for considering Agathiphaga as a specialized genus of Micropte rygidae. On the other hand Hinton (1958) after examining the Agathiphaga-larvae found these to possess several apomorph characters characteristic of Dacnonypha and higher Lepidoptera and to be devoid of any of the features characteristic of the Micropterygid larvae. He therefore concluded that the genus belongs to the Eriocraniidae or a closely related family. The correctness of the transferring of Agathiphaga to the suborder Dacnonypha cannot be doubted; however, in the adult anatomy the genus differs from the Eriocraniidae as well as from the other dacnonyphous families (Mnesarchaeidae, Neopseustidae) in many important features, and consequently has to be regarded as con stituting a separate family, which is defined below. Agathiphagidae fam. nov. Type-genus: Agathiphaga Dumbleton, 1952. D i a g no si s. Adult: Articulated mandibles present, galeae nol haustellate, lobular lacinia present, tibia 2 and 3 with paired subapical and apical spurs, forewing with closed cell between M and Cu, d -genitalia with long and simple, dorsally curved valvae, phallus with short posteriorly directed ventral apodeme. 22* 342 N.

Please cite as: Saunders ME, Janes J, O’Hanlon J (2019) Moving on from the insect apocalypse narrative: engaging with evidence-based insect conservation. BioScience https://doi.org/10.1093/biosci/biz143 1 Abstract Recent studies showing temporal changes in local and regional insect populations received exaggerated global media coverage. Confusing and inaccurate science communication on this important issue could have counter-productive effects on public support for insect conservation. The ‘insect apocalypse’ narrative is fuelled by a limited number of studies that are restricted geographically (predominantly UK, Europe, USA) and taxonomically (predominantly bees, macrolepidoptera, and ground beetles). Biases in sampling and analytical methods (e.g. categorical vs. continuous time series, different diversity metrics) limit the relevance of these studies as evidence of generalised global insect decline. Rather, the value of this research lies in highlighting important areas for priority investment. We summarise research, communication and policy priorities for evidence-based insect conservation, including key areas of knowledge to increase understanding of insect population dynamics. Importantly, we advocate for a balanced perspective in science communication to better serve both public and scientific interests. 2 Introduction Insects are the most diverse and abundant group of animals on Earth and are critical drivers of ecosystem function in terrestrial and aquatic systems; yet the majority of insect taxa are understudied, publicly misunderstood and face numerous environmental threats (Samways 2007; Cardoso et al.

The taxonomic Status of Ultraaricia (generic or subgeneric rank) might be suggested later on, after investigation of the related taxa (Aricia s. str. and Pseudoaricia Beuret) have been completed. At present it seems wise to consider Ultraaricia, along with just men- tioned genus-group taxa as a subgenus of Aricia, consisting of four species that form a compact group, fairly homogenous by the male genitalia. In lateral projection, visible half of uncus presented in two processes: superior, straight or curved dorsally, pointed at apex, and inferior that terminates with rounded or abrupted lobe; brachia Short, strongly chitinized, their distal part almost straight (cf. Sauter, 1968: 6; Higgins, 1975: 147). The ränge of locally distributed populations of >Ar/c/a (Ultraaricia) anteros extends from Balkan Pen insu la on the West to the E. Turkey (and Syria?) on the East; three other species are conti ned to strictly limited area, overlapping the anteros ränge at its margins, and until now they still remain extremely little known.
