Du 18 juillet au 3 août 2008 - Verbier Festival - 27 CONCERTS EN DIRECT ET EN DIFFERE DU VERBIER FESTIVAL SUR WWW.MEDICI.TV ET WWW.ARTE.TV/FESTIVALS ••• Forts du succès remporté par la diffusion sur internet de l’édition 2007, medici.tv, ARTE et le Verbier Festival s’associent à nouveau cet été pour proposer, chaque jour sur internet, un concert (et parfois 2), en direct du Verbier Festival, ainsi que des reportages en coulisses et des interviews exclusives. Tous les concerts seront disponibles en différé quelques heures après leur diffusion live, en très haute résolution, pendant 60 jours. Historique En juillet 2007, Medici Arts et ARTE proposaient de couvrir, pour la première fois au monde, un festival dans sa quasi intégralité : le Verbier Festival. 30 concerts ont été filmés en HD et diffusés en direct puis en différé sur le site internet www.medici.tv ainsi que sur www.arte.tv . Près de 1.000.000 de fichiers vidéo ont ainsi été visionnés par 150.000 visiteurs uniques de 173 pays différents. A l’issue du festival, 12 programmes de 52 minutes ont été post-produits pour une diffusion sur ARTE, du 20 juillet au 31 août 2008, réunissant les prestations de Evgeny Kissin, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Martha Argerich, Thomas Quasthoff, Hélène Grimaud ou Joshua Bell. Medici Arts en 2008 Le 15 mai 2008 Medici Arts inaugurait son nouveau site www.medici.tv. Tout au long de l’année, cette plateforme audiovisuelle propose de suivre, en direct, les concerts les plus prestigieux au monde. Après 10 concerts diffusés en direct du Festival d’Aspen dans le Colorado en juin, puis Zaïde de Mozart dans la mise en scène de Peter Sellars et le concert du Berliner Philharmoniker retransmis du festival d’Aix en Provence, Medici.tv prend la route du Verbier Festival du 18 juillet au 3 août, reconduisant ainsi leur association en partenariat avec ARTE France. Pour cette 15ème édition, le Verbier Festival réunira comme toujours les plus grands musiciens : Martha Argerich, Yuri Bashmet, Boris Berezovsky, Renaud Capuçon, Valery Gergiev, Mathias Goerne, Hélène Grimaud, Leila Josefowicz, Angelika Kirchschlager, Evgeny Kissin, Nikolaï Lugansky, Mischa Maïsky, Fazil Say, Maxim Vengerov… Le projet Chaque lieu du festival – la Salle Medran et l’Eglise de Verbier – sera équipée de plusieurs caméras HD. Afin d’assurer un maximum de discrétion pour les musiciens, un système de tournage semi-automatisé a été retenu, avec des caméras commandées à distance évitant la présence de cadreurs sur scène. Chacune des caméras offre suffisamment de flexibilité (mouvements 2D « pan & tilt ») pour saisir les détails du jeu des interprètes. De plus, une caméra placée dans le public fournit des plans d’ensemble de la scène. Les images filmées par les caméras et le programme réalisé en direct sont enregistrées séparément afin de fournir la matière pour un montage et une post-production ultérieurs. Filmer aujourd’hui les archives de demain et élargir aux amateurs de musique du monde entier l’expérience et l’émotion uniques du concert via internet, voilà la mission et le défi que s’est fixé medici.tv avec le soutien de ses partenaires : ARTE France, UBS, Canton du Valais et le CNC. En plus des concerts en direct diffusés gratuitement (plus de 40 événements dès cet été 2008), Medici.tv propose 150 programmes (et bientôt 200) disponibles en vidéo à la demande (VOD) : concerts, documentaires, master classes, etc… ainsi qu’un magazine qui rend compte au jour le jour de l’actualité musicale internationale. Www.arte.tv/festivals : une offre élargie et innovante Cet été, ARTE ouvre un portail internet dédié au spectacle vivant. Dès le 27 juin 2008, le site internet d'ARTE offrira plus de 50 spectacles captés dans une quinzaine de festivals d'été. Ainsi, à partir du 28 juin, les internautes peuvent visionner tous les jours, en direct et en exclusivité sur internet depuis le Festival d'Aix en Provence, des concerts, récitals et extraits de master-class publiques. A suivre également : toute l'actualité du Festival d'Avignon avec les conférences de presse quotidiennes du festival, des spectacles, des documentaires, et la possibilité de chatter pendant les diffusions en direct. La retransmission de 27 concerts depuis le Verbier Festival 2008 est un exemple emblématique de cette nouvelle offre, qui s'enrichit également de reportages et d'interviews en coulisses tournés par l'équipe d'arte.tv. August zu Gast im fast 100 Jahre alten Bootshaus des Augsburger Segler-Clubs in Ut- ting am Ammersee. „Einen Geiger von Weltklasse-Format” nennt die Frankfurter Allgemeine Zei- tung Kirill Troussov, der mit seiner Schwester Alexandra Troussova sein Debüt beim Galakonzert des Klassikfestivals AMMERSEErenade gibt, gefolgt von einem Weill-Orff-Avantgardeprogramm der Stimmvirtuosin Salome Kammer aus München. Es fällt schwer zu entscheiden, über wessen Vita man zuerst berichten soll: die des Musikers oder doch besser von dessen Handwerkszeug. Etwas Besonderes sind beide mittlerweile im Olymp der Musikwelt, auch wenn sie ein Altersunterschied von immerhin 280 Jahren trennt. Seit 2006 spielt Troussov seine derzeitige Violine - im Versicherungsdeutsch schlicht „Stradivari 1702 Brodsky“ genannt. Auf jener„Brodsky“ hat der frühere Besitzer, der russische Geiger Adolf Brodsky (1851 – 1929), am 4. Dezember 1881 in Wien Tschaikowskis Violinkonzert uraufgeführt. Ihr Klang wird in Fachkreisen als der Ton, der „tänzelt wie ein Kerzenlicht“ umschrieben. Schon in jungen Jahren von Sir Yehudi Menuhin gefördert, gehört Kirill Troussov heute zu den in- ternational gefragtesten Geigern seiner Generation. Er ist bei renommierten Orchestern und den wichtigen Musikfestivals weltweit zu Gast. Er spielt regelmäßig mit Künstlern wie Sol Gabetta, Yuja Wang, Daniel Hope, Joshua Bell oder Gautier und Renaud Capucon. - Das Einspringen für Gidon Kremer in Paris, die Asientournee mit dem Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra und der Auftritt bei den BBC Proms sind nur einige Highlights seiner Karriere.

    1 Class of 2019 ABOUT Hellensmusic is a music festival that takes place every May in and around Hellens Manor, Herefordshire. Its aims are threefold: to create opportunities for world-class musicians to collaborate outside the concert circuit and explore new ideas; to provide a platform for talented music students from all over the UK and beyond to learn from leading experts; and to bring great music to this corner of England, inspiring local audiences. Hellensmusic Masterclass Programme consists of six days of intense learning, with individual masterclasses, chamber music classes and music improvisation sessions taught by the Festival’s resident artists. The course culminates in two final concerts where students will have the opportunity to perform some of the pieces they worked on during the week and play alongside their tutors in chamber music ensembles. Our aim is to create a rich and inspiring musical week that can fast-track meaningful learning. We create a welcoming environment where everyone is warmly encouraged to explore, be curious and enjoy music to the fullest. Beyond the masterclasses, students have the chance to engage with their tutors at meals and breaks and can see them in action at rehearsals and performances. This provides a unique opportunity for informal learning, which sets Hellensmusic apart from other short courses. “An invaluable experience. I am thrilled that the festival is delivering such a superb programme, featuring so many incredibly talented and exciting artists, all for free online, in tip top HD quality. Of course we all desperately miss live audiences, but I hope the quality of the recordings will make everyone feel that the concert hall experience has been welcomed into their own home! It has been a huge challenge to organise this year’s festival with many extra obstacles, but I hope that everyone will enjoy the final product, into which, all involved, have poured their hearts and souls. A huge thank you to all of our public and private patrons for their invaluable support.If you are in a position to make a donation to support our festival charity please consider doing so. The classical music festival has teamed up with long-time partners medici.tv — the world’s leading classical music channel — and Radio Télévision Suisse (Espace 2 and the RTSCulture platform) to present the Virtual Verbier Festival from July 16 to August 12. Viewers and listeners can access the Festival, discover programme listings and subscribe for updates via the 'VF at Home' platform at verbierfestival.com. The Virtual Verbier Festival is all free to access for the period of the Festival, and select material at medici.tv will be available via free replay until 31 October. “It’s been a very challenging few months for artists in general,” said Verbier Festival Founder & Director, Martin T:son Engstroem. “That aspect of not having concerts to look forward to, not to have an income; it has been very, very tough. I see this Virtual Festival as a tribute to our artists. Many of them are regulars who come back year after year and I want to pay homage to this close friendship. Both students studied with Almita Vamos. First Prize – Mozart Prize: Joshua Brown, Violinist, USA Second Prize: Karisa Chiu, USA Third Prize: Kaoru Oe, Japan // 6.1.19 Current Academy student Noelle Naito and alumnus Maya Buchanan, students of Almita Vamos, participated in the tenth Starling-DeLay Symposium on Violin Studies at The Juilliard School. Held biennially, the symposium, which is dedicated to fostering the legacy of renowned teacher Dorothy DeLay, features five days of master classes, recitals, and pedagogy sessions, and provides opportunities for participants to observe and explore how to nurture and develop the exceptional student artist. Juilliard alumnus Brian Lewis, a faculty member of the University of Texas at Austin, was the artistic director of the symposium. Up to 12 exceptional student artists were chosen to attend by competitive audition, tuition-free, as performers and recipients of on- stage coaching at the symposium.     Geigen Meisterkurse & Konzerte 19. bis 26. Juni 2011 ermöglicht durch Kronberg im Taunus Ist sie nun ein himmlisches Instrument oder „die vermutlich teuflischste Erfindung, auf die der Mensch je verfallen ist“ Ruggiero Ricci ? Oft muss man spielen wie die Geige will – es sein denn man lernt, sie zu beherrschen! Zum zweiten Mal lädt die Kronberg Academy junge Geiger aus der ganzen Welt zu Geigen Meisterkursen nach Kronberg ein. Und wieder sind alle Freunde und Bewunderer des Geigenspiels eingeladen, die Unterrichtsstunden großer Violin- Koryphäen zu verfolgen und dabei junge Geigen-Wunder zu entdecken. Vier große Musikerpersönlichkeiten, Zakhar Bron, Ana Cumachenco, Christian Tetzlaff und Pavel Vernikov, die unter - schiedliche Violin-Schulen repräsentieren, sind die Dozenten und „Wegweiser“ der öffentlichen Unterrichtsstunden. Gidon Kremer und Volker Biesenbender, zwei ausgesprochen eigenwillige Künstler und jeder auf seine Art ein Grenzüberschreiter, geben in öffentlichen Workshops ihre Erfahrungen an die jungen Musiker weiter. Die Geigen Meisterkurse 2011 werden ermöglicht durch kulturfonds frankfurtrheinmain GmbH. Zu seinen ehemaligen Studenten gehören Generation, bekannt für seine musikalische Integrität und heute international bekannte Geiger wie Vadim Repin, seine intelligenten und zugleich leidenschaftlichen Inter - Maxim Vengerov oder Daniel Hope. Zakhar Bron selbst pretationen. Während er auf der einen Seite als Solist auf war Schüler von David Oistrach und hat bei wichtigen in - den großen Bühnen der Welt sein Publikum erobert, wid - ternationalen Wettbewerben Preise gewonnen und zahl- met er sich auf der anderen Seite mit verschiedenen reiche CDs aufgenommen.
