Hadi The Senate NOTES that on Monday 1st October, 2012, Nigeria will mark her 52nd Independence Anniversary having attained Independence from Britain on October 1, 1960; That steadily and gradually Nigeria, we are developing our domestic production capacity as an Independent Nation; That we have as a Nation become a big player in International affairs within the committee of Nations; APPRECIATES that from May 29 1999 till date, Nigeria at 52 has had the longest reign of democratic government in her political history; Accordinglij resolues to: CONGRATULATE the President, C-in-C, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan GCFR, the Government and people of Nigeria on the 52nd Independence Anniversary of Nigeria; URGE the Federal, States and Local Governments and all the Leaders of Nigeria, to work harder to return Nigeria to the path of ecoomic growth, sustain and strengthen national unity.
