Un Casting De Stars Affronte Les Mille Miglia 2015 Au Volant Des Modèles Jaguar, À L'occasion Des 80 Ans De La Marque UN CASTING DE STARS AFFRONTE LES MILLE MIGLIA 2015 AU VOLANT DES MODÈLES JAGUAR, À L'OCCASION DES 80 ANS DE LA MARQUE Jaguar Heritage rassemblera aux Mille Miglia 2015 neuf modèles emblématiques produits dans les années 50 L'événement aura lieu du 14 au 17 mai ; les pilotes seront au volant de modèles C-Type et D-Type (trois exemplaires pour chacun des modèles), d'une XK120, d'une XK140 et d'une MK VII Les pilotes de renom, issus du monde du sport automobile, de la musique et du divertissement, conduiront des Jaguar légendaires aux Mille Miglia Des mises à jour en direct de l'événement seront disponibles via les canaux de médias sociaux officiels de Jaguar, ainsi que via les profils Twitter des pilotes grâce au hashtag : #JaguarMille Pour préparer les futurs participants aux Mille Miglia qui auront lieu en Italie, du 14 au 17 mai 2015, Jaguar Heritage a organisé un événement d'inauguration: les « Mini Miglia ». L'événement « préliminaire » de familiarisation avec les véhicules s’est déroulé sur 100 miles des meilleures routes d'Écosse, et a permis aux pilotes conviés de se préparer à la rude épreuve des Mille Miglia Anvers, le 12 mai 2015. Jaguar fête son 80e anniversaire en affrontant une nouvelle fois l'épreuve légendaire des Mille Miglia. Du 14 au 17 mai, en Italie, Jaguar Heritage Racing rassemblera une équipe de pilotes qui parcourront Brescia-Rome-Brescia sur plus de 1000 miles au volant des neuf modèles les plus emblématiques de la marque. Des célébrités issues du monde du sport automobile, de la télévision et de la musique mettront à l'épreuve leur Jaguar légendaire à travers le parcours exténuant réparti sur quatre journées, éprouvantes mais inoubliables. Départ de Brescia, puis direction Rimini, Rome et Parma, et retour à Brescia. Les nuées de spectateurs bordant le parcours pourront voir défiler devant leurs yeux des modèles Jaguar XK, C-Type et D-Type ayant marqué l'histoire, pilotés par des célébrités. Quintuple vainqueur des 24 Heures du Mans, triple vainqueur des 24 Heures de Daytona et vétéran mondial de course automobile, Derek Bell fera ses débuts aux Mille Miglia au volant d'une Jaguar C-Type. Derek pilote en tant qu'invité d'Adam Lindemann, collectionneur d'art et passionné de voitures anciennes. Mike Cross, ingénieur en chef du département Vehicle Integrity chez Jaguar, pilotera la deuxième C-Type, immatriculée « NDU 289 ». La dernière C-Type, de matricule « PUG 676 », sera conduite par Ben Cussons, président du comité du Royal Automobile Club Motoring. Ian Callum, directeur du design chez Jaguar, conduira le véhicule immatriculé « RSF 303 » : une Jaguar D-Type « Long Nose » inestimable de l'Écurie Écosse, qui a terminé deuxième au Mans en 1957. Vétéran des Mille Miglia, Ian a piloté aux côtés du présentateur de talk-show américain Jay Leno lors de l’édition de 2014 ; cette année, il fera équipe avec Clive Beecham, homme d'affaires passionné de voitures anciennes. Au volant d'une Jaguar MK VII : Charley Boorman, un homme qui s'y connaît en vitesse et en privation de sommeil. Charley, qui a davantage l'habitude des deux roues que des quatre roues grâce à ses nombreuses aventures à moto, aura pour coéquipier Giles English, cofondateur de Bremont. Berline la plus rapide de son époque, la Jaguar MK VII avait pour célèbre pilote Ronnie Adams, accompagné de Frank Biggar et Derek Johnstone, lors du rallye de Monte-Carlo de 1956, que le coureur remporta. Le roadster XK120, immatriculé « OOF 748 », est constitué d'un cockpit très glamour : Jodie Kidd, mannequin, animateur TV et présentateur actuel de l'émission The Classic Car Show sur Channel 5. Son copilote sera David Gandy, top model masculin, rédacteur pour le magazine GQ et amateur de voitures anciennes. Présentateur de l'émission extrêmement populaire Saturday Kitchen sur BBC One et célèbre chef du petit écran, James Martin fera équipe avec Nick English, cofondateur de Bremont et frère de Giles. Ils partageront l'avant-dernière Jaguar D-Type « Long Nose » jamais construite, immatriculée « 393 RW ». Simon Kidston, l'un des experts en voitures anciennes les plus respectés au monde, clôturera le trio des D-Type. L'équipe Jaguar Heritage est au complet avec le chanteur/compositeur britannique à succès Elliot Gleave, également connu sous le pseudo Example.
