Install AppleWin (Apple II Emulation Program for Windows)

1 - In your Documents Library create a new folder named “AppleWin”

2 – Click to follow this link: https://github.com/AppleWin/AppleWin

3 – Click to download latest release: AppleWin v1.25.0.3

4 - When asked whether to download or save, click on “save.” The program will be saved in your Downloads file.

5 - Click “open” – a zipped folder will open

6 - Click “Extract all files”” – this will create a sub-folder AppleWin (+ version #) in your Documents folder.

7 - From this folder you may right-click the AppleWin application and then pin it to your start menu or Taskbar. You could also copy the shortcut and paste it to your desktop.

8 - Launch AppleWin by double-clicking on the AppleWin application.

9 - Read the GNU Public License information and click “I accept.” Install the Apple DOS 3.3 Master Disk

1 - In your AppleWin folder, open a new folder named “Apple.”

2 - Go to the Apple 2 page of the Asimov.net library by clicking on this link: http://mirrors.apple2.org.za/ftp.apple.asimov.net/images/masters/

You will see a list of Apple II Computer programs.

3 - Right-click on the Apple DOS 3.3 January 1983.dsk

4 - Select “Save as target”

5 - Navigate to your “Apple” folder, and click “save.”

Install the Ron Graff Software Disk Image

1 - In your AppleWin folder, open a new folder named “Ron Graff Software.”

2 - Use your Internet browser to go to http://www.brutaldeluxe.fr/projects/cassettes/magnemedia/rongraff_software.dsk

3 - In the dialog box, click on “Save as.”

4 - Navigate to the “Ron Graff Software” subfolder you have created in your AppleWin folder.

5 - Click Save

6 - Close your Internet browser.

Use the Ron Graff Software Disk

1 - Launch AppleWin by double-clicking on the AppleWin application.

2 - Set proper configuration by clicking on the second icon from the bottom on the right side of

the window. It has a image.

For “Model” select “Apple IIe.”

For “Mode” select “Color (Text Optimized).”

Close configuration dialog box by clicking “Close.”

3 - Click on the Disk #1 icon (third from the top-right).

4 - Navigate to your Apple subfolder in your AppleWin folder.

5 - Double-click the disk image (Apple DOS 3.3 January 1983.dsk)

6 - Click on the Disk #2 icon (fourth from the top-right).

7 - Navigate to your “Ron Graff Software” file.

8 - Double-click disk image (rongraff_software.dsk).

9 - Click the Start button (AppleWin logo) (second from the top-right).

10 - At the ] prompt, type INT to load Integer Basic, which is necessary for most of the programs.

11 - Click the “Switch Drives” Button to move the programs into Disk 1.

12 - Click the Start button again to load the program disk.

13 - Type “CATALOG” AND PRESS Return (Enter).

14 - Type “RUN” and the name of the program you want to use. Press Return (Enter).

( Don’t run “HELLO.” It will overwrite the INTEGER BASIC Language, requiring you to start these instructions again.)

15 - Follow the instructions on the screen.

To stop a program, use the “Esc” key or press the “Ctrl” key and “” at the same time. To clear the screen and prepare to issue the CATALOG command again: Type “TEXT” and press “Return”(Enter) Type “CALL-936” and press “Return”(Enter)
