Few tributes would be more fitting to this extraordinary man - who later disappeared in a Soviet gjiiiag - than to remember him in Buenos Aires, a city where flWfly of. the people he helped save chose to live after the Second Wdrjd War. ft is to be hoped that city authorities grasp the true sig- nificance of Wallenberg's achievement, which represents not only the efforts of this one man or the people he was able to save from certain death, but the sacrifices of all the anonymous men and wom- en who have risked or lost their lives to save their fellow human beings. As thirty Argentines are so sadly aware from recent history, it is in times of extreme political upheaval that the efforts of such indi- viduals make a difference. As a city, Buenos Aires still owes a fit- ting tribute to such heroes as Wallenberg or Oskar and Emily Schindler (who lived in this country). Nothing has been done to recall the work of men and women who, in different comers of the world, helped save the lives of many Argentine citizens - in parti- iS^-'j-iH- < v*<ts- cular the human rights organizations during the Dirty War. Furthermore, nothing is done to honour people who every day risk their lives — and in many cases lose it — defending the rights and often .the lives of others. Surely it is time that Buenos Aires pay its overdue tribute to all such heroes. In most modern societies, such supreme sacrifices rarely go unnoticed. Here in Argentina, there are many memorials recogniz- ing individuals for their philanthropic work, but few testimonials to people who strived for the well-being of their fellow citizens half a century dgb — men like Raoul Wallenberg, who went beyond the call of duty to save hundreds of thousands of Hungarian Jews. Today there are many people doing sirhilar things for others and nwch of their bffort is unnoticed and unrecognized. Trt an age when society, in particular young people, may have forgotten the differ- ence courageous actions can rrtake, many people do not know the Wallenberg story. Remembering him on.

ANGELO RONCALLI (POPE JOHN XXIII) Rescuer of victims of the Holocaust A documented research and petition officially submitted to Yad Vashem on February 1st., 2011, with a request and recommendation to bestow upon Angelo Roncalli the title of "Righteous among the Nations" WITH THE COLLABORATION AND AUSPICES OF CASA ARGENTINA EN ISRAEL – TIERRA SANTA AND THE ANGELO RONCALLI INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE TRUST Dear friends of the International Raoul Wallenberg Foundation, It is with great pleasure that I invite you to review the massive dossier which documents the life‐saving efforts of Cardinal Angelo Roncalli while he served as the Apostolic Delegate of the Vatican in Istambul, during the dark years of the Shoah. The aforementioned dossier, which includes new revelations and evidences, has been recently submitted by the Wallenberg Foundation to Yad Vashem, with our firm recommendation to bestow upon Roncalli the title of Righteous among the Nations. It is our strong conviction, and we believe that the enclosed body of documents will unambiguously prove so, that few people deserve this title as much as Roncalli who went far beyond the line of duty to save the victims of the Shoah. Back in 2009, we published an eBook entitled "John XXIII – The Good Pope", which described Roncalli's feats. This eBook ‐ in its two versions, English and Spanish, was offered free of charge to our worldwide readership and friends, exposing thousands of them to this great and humble man. The current dossier complements the first eBook, providing a carefully and rigurously researched effort that underscores the intricate relationship between Roncalli and its superiors at the Holy See, as well as the monumental hurdles he faced as he strived to save as many innocent lives as possible.

  • Jill Blonsky, in Her Speech
Jill Blonsky Your Excellency, ladies and gentlemen, It is a matter of immense pride to be representing the International Raoul Wallenberg Foundation at today’s award ceremony. The IRWF is a global Non- Government Organization with offices on four continents. With our main base in New York, we have branches in Buenos Aires, Tel Aviv and Berlin. Our membership includes no fewer than 300 former and incumbent heads of state; as well as Nobel Peace Laureates and many other notable people from all walks of life, nationalities and religions, not least among whom is His Holiness Pope Francis I. As its name suggests, the purpose of the IRWF is to continue and promote the legacy of humanity of Raoul Wallenberg and his outstanding efforts and achievements, saving the Jews of Budapest from the monstrosity of the Nazi death machine. But the Foundation also recognizes and cherishes the work of other rescuers who have sought to save lives regardless of the nationality, race or religion of those they rescue or the dangers they often themselves face. One of our recent projects, for instance, involved researching the 1915 Armenian genocide and compiling the names of Turkish citizens who rescued ethnic Armenians during that dreadful time. Another ongoing project is the “Houses of Life” – the search for houses, convents and other buildings where Jews, mainly children were hidden during the Holocaust. This project began life as an idea but has now turned into a major undertaking as hundreds of these places have been uncovered. As a result, many have been commemorated with plaques explaining their amazing histories of rescue.

(Graphic by SKULZ FONTAINE) IT ISN’T MATTER OF DEBATE, on any level, that historically, Africa has been the most tormented and tortured of the planet’s continents and regions. Ravaged by centuries of colonialism and its bastard child, the Transatlantic Slave Trade, imperialism, civil wars instigated by foreign intelligence agencies, the plundering of natural resources and faux “humanitarian” interventions en masse, it seems that Africa just cannot find the salaam it undeniably and screamingly deserves. Much has been written about Africa’s plight being a product of Western aggression and Western racism but this is only a partial truth, as is so often the case when a discussion of world events and world history is initiated in the modern era of media domination, manipulation and disinformation. There are hidden hands behind every bit of genocide and suffering in Africa, past and present alike. In the ground-breaking works The Secret Relationship Between Blacks and Jews: Volume One, The Secret Relationship Between Blacks and Jews: Volume Two - How Jews Gained Control of the Black American Economy and Jews Selling Blacks: Slave Sale Advertising by American Jews, the Historical Research Department of the Nation of Islam, based 100% on Jewish (oftentimes rabbinical) and philo-Semitic sources, unequivocally demonstrates that the torturous, inhuman and genocidal Transatlantic Slave Trade was an endeavor dominated by Jews, going back to the very beginnings of it in Brazil and Surinam.

PHOTO: AFP The International Raoul Wallenberg Foundation (IRWF) bestowed the “Raoul Wallenberg Medal” upon the siblings Aida and Charles Aznavour. This prestigious award is a token of recognition to the Aznavour family, mother Knar, father Mischa and their aforementioned daughter and son, who during the dark days of the Nazi occupation in France, reached-out to those persecuted by the Nazis. The ceremony of bestowal took place on 26 October 2017, at the Official Residence of the President of the State of Israel, Reuven Rivlin. The Aznavours were closely linked to the Missak Manouchian Resistance Group and in this context they have offered shelter to Armenians, Jews and others at their own Paris flat, risking their own lives. This story of solidarity and civic courage was conveyed by Charles Aznavour to Professor Yair Auron, a world-renowned Israeli scholar specialized in Holocaust and Genocide studies. Among the attendants were Helene Le Gal, Ambassador of France; Magnus Hellgren, Ambassador of Sweden and Eli Yerushalmi, Ambassador of Israel in Armenia. Abigail Tenembaum, Vicepresident of the IRWF, conducted the ceremony. She thanked President Rivlin for hosting the event and Professor Auron for disclosing the feats of the Aznavours during the Nazi occupation, how they gave shelter to people persecuted by the Nazis, at their own Paris flat, putting the whole story in the context of the Foundation’s Houses of Life program.
