Today on Day One, Bhavnagar Rural won the toss and elected to bat. Bhavnagar Rural in their first innings scored 241 runs all out in 77 overs. Harshit Bhatt scored 60 runs. Harnesh Trivedi made 48. Umang Sakariya scored 37. Rahul Joshi, Zuned Sindhi and Senil Jasoliya took 3 wickets each. Dwarka District in their first innings today, before stumps, scored 76 runs for loss of 1 wicket in 12 overs. Jyot Chhaya scored 47. Rahul Joshi made 22 not out. Earlier in this tournament, following teams participated : Group A : Botad District, Kutch District, Junagadh District Group B : Dwarka District, Amreli District, Morbi District Group C : Junagadh Rural, Diu District, Bhavnagar Rural Dwarka District and Junagadh District got bye on their last year’s performance, as they entered Lower Group from Upper Group. Morbi District Is Located in the Saurashtra Region of Indian State of Gujarat
Morbi District is located in the Saurashtra region of Indian state of Gujarat. It was formed on August 15, 2013, on the 67th Independence Day of India. The district has 5 talukas - Morbi, Maliya, Tankara, Wankaner and Halvad. This district is surrounded by Kutch district to the north, Surendranagar district to the east, Rajkot district to the south and Jamnagar district to the west. Morbi, also known as Morvi is the administrative headquarters of Morbi district, which literally means City of Peacocks. The town of Morbi is endowed not only with great natural beauty, but it is also famous for its colorful history and rich cultural heritage. The town of Morbi is situated on the bank of Machchhu River, 35 km from the sea and 60 km from Rajkot. The city-state of Morbi and much of the building heritage and town planning, are attributed to the administration of Sir Lakhdhiraji Waghji, who ruled from 1922 to 1948. The Machchhu dam failure or Morbi disaster was a dam-related flood disaster which occurred on 11 August 1979. Morbi has long been a center for trade and industry. In the beginning, the economy of the town was mainly dependent on ceramic and clock manufacturing industry. Today, the area has also become a growing hub for paper mills and other ancillary industries such as packaging industry, export houses etc. Together, they have created a vibrant and sustainable economy in this region. After the bifurcation from Rajkot District Court, Morbi District Court started its functioning from 02/10/2016 and presently, there are 2 Appellate Courts, 1 Family Court, 1 Labour Court, 5 Senior Division Courts/Chief Courts & 7 Junior Division Courts, are functioning in Morbi District.

PLP 2016-17 Morbi District EXECUTIVE SUMMARY a. Introduction Morbi district is primarily an agricultural district with cotton, cumin and wheat as the predominant crops. The other major crops cultivated are bajra, wheat, sesamam, groundnut, etc. The Potential Linked Credit Plan (PLP) for 2016-17 has been prepared aligning with the revised RBI guidelines on Priority Sector Lending. It estimates credit flow of ` 238703.00 lakh, of which, Crop Production sector has a major share of 54% at ` 129384.00 lakh. Term loan under agriculture is assessed at ` 56525.00 lakh accounting for about 30% of total agriculture and 24% of total Priority Sector. Under MSME, ` 39006.00 lakh has been assessed as potential forming 16% and balance at ` 13788.00 lakh has been estimated for other sectors like Exports, Education, Housing, etc. The activity-wise and block- wise assessment of potential is presented in Annexure I. The PLP projection for 2016-17 is higher by ` 11936.60 lakh when compared to the PLP for the year 2015-16 representing an increase of about 5%. Further, the PLP projection is higher by similar amount when compared to the ACP target for the year 2015-16. b. Suggested action Points in respect of major sectors and infrastructure/non-credit inputs are as under: (i) Crop Production, Maintenance and Marketing Adoption of advanced technologies for the restoration of soil health, mechanisation, and cultivation of suitable remunerative crops, effective pest and disease management are essential to step up the agricultural production. Modern methods of cultivation like Fertigation for sugarcane, ‘precision farming’ for vegetables, ‘sprinkler irrigation’ for pulses etc need to be adopted for increasing production and productivity.

Introduction:- Solanum L. is large and diversified genus belonging to the economically cosmopolitan family Solanaceae. In India the family Solanaceae is represented 122 taxa (116 species, 2 sub-species, 3 varities and 1 forma) belonging to 29 genera (Reema Kumari, 2004). The genus Solanum L. is the most specious with 48 species distributed throughout the country (Reema Kumari, 2004). Recently few specimens are belonging to the genus Solanum collected from the three districts of Gujarat. After close examination in the field and specimens are also crosschecked with relevant literature (C. Kalidass & P. C. Panda, 2019), the species identified as a Solanum diphyllum L.
