Clonkeen College mini-marathon team 2005 FIRST YEAR After a strong showing in the U-14 competi- tion before Christmas, the First Year team took it one step further by reaching the quar- ter-final of the Dublin “A” Tom Quinlan Cup. We remained undefeated in five out- ings before that, three of them in the group stages of the Dublin competition. Two per- formances stood out against “A” schools: a record win against St.Benildus, where we notched 8 goals, and an unlucky draw versus Coláiste Eoin. Both were away from home TY canoeing too! The “second tier” got their day in the sun two weeks later with a four-team blitz with St. David’s, Drimnagh Castle and Portmar- nock C.S.
