Najib Chairs First Cabinet Meeting Wednesday After Reshuffle Bernama July 29, 2015 Najib Chairs First Cabinet Meeting Wednesday After Reshuffle Bernama July 29, 2015 PUTRAJAYA, July 29 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, Wednesday chaired the first cabinet meeting after the reshuffle with the appointment of several new ministers Tuesday. The meeting, that started at about 2.30pm at Perdana Putra in Putrajaya, saw cheerful ministers shaking hands and congratulating one another before proceeding into the meeting room. The six new cabinet members, namely Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Hamzah Zainudin, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar (Natural Resources and Environment Minister), Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid (Education Minister), attended the meeting. Also present were Senator Datuk Seri Panglima Dr Mohd Salleh Tun Said Keruak (Communication and Multimedia Minister), Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said (Minister in Prime Minister's Department) and Datuk Seri Ong Ka Chuan (Second International Trade and Industry Minister). All of them were photographed individually by the Prime Minister's Office as well as Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM). Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Datuk Wilfred Madius Tangau did not attend the meeting. He is reportedly in Italy. It was the first cabinet meeting for the four except for two others, namely Azalina, who had held the post of Youth and Sports Minister and Tourism Minister while Ong had been the Housing and Local Government Minister until 2009. On Tuesday, Najib announced the new cabinet line-up at a press conference, dropping Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as Deputy Prime Minister. The Cabinet reshuffle announced by Najib in Putrajaya, among others, saw Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin dropped as deputy prime minister and education minister. Meanwhile, Machang MP Datuk Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub, who was named rural and regional development deputy minister, described it as a huge trust which he would try his best to fulfill. "I will help the prime minister and the Barisan Nasional Government in its efforts to transform the rural areas, so they are not left behind when the country achieves its developed nation status by 2020," he said when contacted by Bernama today.

    Tawaran Kerja Sama Politik Ditolak Oposisi, Masa Depan PM Muhyiddin Makin Suram Realitarakyat.com – Para pemimpin partai oposisi di Malaysia menolak tawaran kerja sama politik dari PM Muhyiddin Yassin dan menuntutnya segera mundur. Sebelumnya pada Jumat (13/8) Muhyiddin secara terbuka mengakui ia tak memiliki suara mayoritas di Parlemen dan meminta dukungan dalam voting mosi tidak percaya pada September nanti. Sebagai imbal balik, Muhyiddin menjanjikan tujuh tawaran kepada para pemimpin partai oposisi. Di antara tujuh penawaran tersebut adalah pembatasan masa jabatan Perdana Menteri menjadi maksimal dua periode, dengan satu periode lima tahun, pengajuan RUU Anti Lompat Partai, serta mengurangi batasan usia pemilih dari semula 21 tahun menjadi 21 tahun. Hari ini partai oposisi ramai-ramai menolak tawaran tersebut, salah satunya Pakatan Harapan. “Ini adalah kali pertama dalam sejarah Malaysia seorang Perdana Menteri mengakui ia telah kehilangan suara mayoritas, tapi terus mencari dukungan,” menurut keterangan resmi Pakatan Harapan. “Pakatan Harapan telah mengambil sikap untuk menolak keras semua tawaran tidak tulus dari Tan Sri Muhyiddin yang seharusnya dilakukan lebih awal dan bukan pada akhir kehidupan politiknya.” Penolakan juga disampaikan oleh Presiden UMNO Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi dan Presiden Pejuang Tanah Air, Mukhriz Mahathir. “UMNO tidak bisa mempertimbangkan tawaran dari seseorang yang tidak lagi memiliki legitimasi,” kata Ahmad Zahid dalam keterangan resmi. Ahmad juga menyarankan masyarakat untuk tetap tenang sampai Yang di-Pertuan Agong melakukan tanggung jawab konstitusionalnya berdasarkan Pasal 40 (2) untuk mengangkat perdana menteri baru dari antara anggota DPR. Menteri Pembangunan Luar Bandar [Datuk Dr. Haji Abd. Latiff bin Ahmad]: Terima kasih Tuan Yang di-Pertua, terima kasih Yang Berhormat Hulu Rajang. Untuk Rancangan Malaysia Ke-11, untuk negeri Sarawak, daripada tahun 2016 hingga 2020 dalam Rancangan Malaysia Ke-11, ada sejumlah 15 projek untuk bekalan air luar bandar yang mana lima telah pun siap, dalam pembinaan sejumlah lima, tiada dalam perolehan, satu dalam reka bentuk dan empat dalam lantikan perunding. Daripada sebanyak 15 itu Tuan Yang di-Pertua, enam berada di Hulu Rajang dengan tiga projek pada tahun 2016 yang mana satu sudah siap manakala dua dalam pembinaan.
