This DIY is reserved for those who are confident in taking the risk of installing their own boost gauge. If you are unsure for any reason whatsoever, please let a professional install this setup. Concepts In Motion is not and will not be held responsible for any damages or mishaps that may occur during installation. Please proceed at your own risk! Installation instructions: 1. Remove MAF sensor with a size 3 allen wrench located at the top left of your engine cover.

2. Unclip the wires and pull out the MAF.

3. Undo the two clips and separate the tubing.

4. Unscrew the front part of the intake tube using a 7/64" Allen wrench and pull the tubing back, up and out.

5. The engine cover can now be safely removed with a little upward

force.

6. Remove the front and upper battery cover.

7. Unscrew the positive and negative battery terminals using a 10mm ratchet.

8. Unbolt the battery tie down using a 14mm ratchet and set aside. Now the battery can be removed.

9. Remove lower battery tray. (Not shown)

10. You have to remove the stock tube and replace w/ the supplied t-fitting. Two barbs may have to be removed in order to fit the t-fitting in.

11. Attach the supplied Rubber Tubing to the t-fitting and route vacuum line to behind the battery tray. Be sure to add the inline filter within 18” of the t-fitting! The other side of the vacuum line connects to the boost sensor. The boost sensor can either be mounted on the engine side of the firewall or on the interior side of the firewall. In this DIY, we decided to mount it on the interior side of the firewall. Due to space constraints, we were unable to show a picture of the location where the boost sensor goes through the firewall.

12. However, we can show you where it comes through on the interior side of the firewall! This is where the vacuum line will come through unless you decide to mount you boost sensor in the engine bay. If you decide to mount the boost sensor in the engine bay, then the electrical wires from the boost sensor will come through the opening. An alternative location to mount the boost sensor is shown below. There is a nice flat spot to mount the sensor in from of the battery tray.

13. Next, remove the side fuse panel with a flathead screwdriver.

14. Remove the headlight switch by pushing in the switch and rotating clockwise at the same time. Pull the switch out and disconnect.

15. Underneath the headlight switch panel are three torx screws. The two circled green screws hold in the headlight switch panel while the red circled screw holds in the bottom dash panel. Remove these three screws with a T-15 torx driver. After all screws are removed, carefully remove headlight switch panel and disconnect the dimmer switch. Following the removal of the headlight switch, remove the lower dash panel and set aside.

16. Carefully use a flathead screwdriver and remove the air vent panel starting where the arrows are shown. When the air vent panel is out, remove the T-15 torx screw that hold the duct panel in and remove the duct panel.

17. Remove the two T-15 torx screws that hold the down the center vent panel.

18. With a flathead screwdriver, carefully pry the backside of the center panel up. Once the rear part of the center vent panel is popped up, carefully remove the center vent panel up and away from the dash. Please be aware that there are two tabs at the front side of the center vent panel that will need to be decompressed before removal. The hazard switch and the passenger light will need to be unplugged before complete removal. You can gain access to the switches from underneath the center vent panel. *Please be sure to have the battery disconnected before you disconnect the switches. An airbag faulty light will result if you do not have the battery disconnected. *

19. Once the center vent is removed, route your power wiring harness from the center vent location to below the dash and route your boost sensor harness to the center vent location.

20. With the supplied mini fuse taps, insert a tap into fuse slot #2( light switch) and another fuse tap into fuse slot #12. Crimp a female quick disconnect onto the red wire (12V ignition switch) and also crimp a female quick disconnect onto the green wire (12V constant). The green wire (12V constant) will be connected to the fuse tap #12 while the red wire (12V ignition switch) will be connected to the fuse tap #2.

21. Next, carefully expose the wiring harness on the dimmer switch. We will need to use the supplied wire tap on the solid gray wire within the dimmer harness and the white wire (12V dimmer) from the boost gauge power wiring harness.

22. The black wire (ground) is pretty self explanatory. Find a bolt in the area and make sure there is good contact. (No pic needed)

23. With the center vent panel removed, carefully pry apart the face of the vent. When it is opened up, remove the vertical and horizontal louvers of the drivers side vent. A 3/8” hole will need to be drilled on the underside of the center duct for the routing of the harnesses to the gauge.

24. Route both gauge harnesses through the hole. Carefully and securely connect the plugs to the boost gauge. Install the boost gauge and vent pod into the duct and also reinstall the face of the vent. Now the whole center vent assembly can be put back in the dash.

25. Now is time to put your back together! Reverse the steps listed above for reinstallation. Please check all electrical lines for good connections! Also, check that there are no kinks in the vacuum line. Again, thank you for your purchase and I hope you enjoy your new CiM Vent Pod and Boost Gauge!

****WARNING: If you need to disconnect the gauge for any reason, do not pull on the wires to disconnect the harness from the back of the gauge. Instead, pull on the actual clip itself to disconnect the harness. Each harness is thoroughly inspected before they are shipped out.****
