Underwhelmed Songwriters: Andrew Scott / Chris Murphy / Jay Ferguson / Patrick Pentland Underwhelmed Songwriters: Andrew Scott / Chris Murphy / Jay Ferguson / Patrick Pentland Underwhelmed lyrics © Universal Music Publishing Group She was underwhelmed, if that's a word While I attend mine I know it's not, 'cause I looked it up While I attend mine That's one of those skills that I learned in my school While I attend mine While I attend I was overwhelmed, and I'm sure of that one 'cause I learned it back in grade school She wrote out a story about her life When I was young I think it included something about me I'm not sure of that but I'm sure of one thing She said, "You is funny" Her spelling's atrocious I said, "You are funny" She said, "Thank you" She told me to read between the lines and I said, "Nevermind" And tell her exactly what I got out of it She rolled her eyes I told her affection had two F's Her beautiful eyes Especially when you're dealing with me The point is not the grammar I usually notice all the little things It's the feeling One time I was proud of it, she says it's annoying That is certainly in my heart She cursed me up and down and rolled her are's, her But not in hers beautiful are's But not in hers But not in hers She says I'm caught up in triviality But not in hers All I really want to know is what she thinks of me But not in hers I think my love for her makes me miss the point I miss the point, I miss the point We were talkin' about people that eat meat I miss the point, I miss the point I felt like an ass 'cause I was one I miss the point, I miss the point She said, "It's okay, but I felt like I miss the point, Hey mister I just ate my young.” She is obviously a person with a cause I told her that I don't smoke or drink She told me to loosen up on her way to the L.C. She skips her classes and gets good grades I go to my courses rain or shine She's passin' her classes while I attend mine .

Did you see “High School Confidential” or something that you can tell us about what you first sort of-- TARA SLONE: I remember seeing the video for “High School Confidential.” I mean, videos for me were so powerful. I was a kid at the dawn of the video age, living in a small town in Nova Scotia. So it was this huge event on Friday nights to watch videos. And particularly around that time, actually, there were a lot of very powerful women, Carole Pope included. So I just remember being rocked by her, and continue to be rocked by her absolutely. INTERVIEWER: And I think just as we got interrupted before, you were just telling us about LUBA and about her voice. TARA SLONE: LUBA has just got a really cool, unique, deep sort of soulful, scratchy voice. So I definitely remember dancing around as a kid and singing LUBA songs, lots of LUBA songs. INTERVIEWER: So I mean, yeah, I mean, I mentioned some artists before. It’s fine if you don’t have anything to say about either Lee Aaron or Alannah Miles, but Alannah Miles was huge in the late ‘80s, early ‘90s with… TARA SLONE: Yeah. INTERVIEWER: …“Black Velvet,” I mean “Love Is,” I mean, those songs were pretty masculine. I don’t whether you recognized anything in her voice. 01:02:00 TARA SLONE: Oh, yeah, I mean, Alannah Miles is a like powerhouse, belter.

The story began when I represented Mrs Hardeep Kaur against a charge of marital cruelty. She was seventy- eight, had a forbidding moustache and very bad knees. Her middle-aged daughter-in-law wrestled her into court every time the case came up for hearings. Clearly, the old girl had always been built for comfort, not speed, but her cantankerous eighty-two-year-old husband found no joy in her embrace. Despite his immaculately tied turban and his flowing white beard, he was something of a Dirty Harry on steroids, always looking to ‘make his day’ on some imaginary provocation.

We can't miss tackles all day and turn the ball over five times and expect to beat a team like Guelph." These words from Head Football Coach Rick Zmich after his team fal- tered yet again in the second half. The Hawks fell 39-10 to the Guelph Gryphons, much to the dis- pleasure of the Homecoming crowd of over 3,000 at University Stadium on Saturday. With the loss, the Hawks sit at 1- 3, their playoff aspirations becoming more distant. Three teams now sit at 4-0, and the Hawks will need to overtake the 4th place Waterloo Warriors ifthey plan on being in the postseason this year. Scoring opened early Guelph opened the scoring early in the first quarter after some tough Hawk defense down low stalled the Gryphon drive at the 8 yard line. They were forced to settle for a Krystian Stringer field goal making it 3-0. The Hawks were able to take a KEENAN 7-3 lead after a blocked field goal set up a 53 yard pass and run play between Kevin Taylor and Brian SHAWN McClure, resulting in McClure's third touchdown of the season.
