Stawski joins UMHB after turning Concordia University Chicago Mitch Wilson was named assistant coach for the UMHB baseball into a national championship contender in four seasons as the Cou- program on July 1, 2019. Wilson joins the Cru after spending gars head coach. Stawski guided CUC to a 42-10 record this season last season as a graduate assistant coach at Concordia Uni- and the Cougars advanced to the NCAA Division III Super Regionals versity Chicago. Wilson helped guide the Cougars to a 42-10 after spending eight weeks ranked #1 in the country in the American record and the NCAA Division III Super Regionals in 2019. Wilson played for two Division III pitching coach at CUC before taking over as head coach. His first collegiate head coaching job was at World Series qualifiers, four regional tournament qualifiers and Spalding University, where he posted an 82-44 record in three seasons. The Golden Eagles were 32-11 four conference championship teams during his career. in his final season as he won SLIAC Coach of the Year honors. Stawski started his coaching career with a three-year stint as head assistant coach and pitching coach at Webster University. Justin Rodriguez - Graduate Assistant Coach Justin Rodriguez joined the the Cru baseball coaching staff as a graduate assistant coach in the summer of 2019. He is working on his Master’s Degree in Sport Administration at UMHB. Rodriguez came to UMHB after a standout, four-year playing ca- reer at Concordia University-Chicago. Rodriguez was a four-year letterman at catcher for the Cougars and played for two NCAA Division III World Series qualifiers during his career. He played for teams that won four conference championships and he was named to the 2019 All-Regional Tournament Team. Rodriguez graduated from CUC in 2019 with a degree in Sports Manage- ment and a minor in marketing. COMMENDATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS Inspiring Moments - presented by: Public Information Department. The Inspiring Moment featured the Humble ISD 2016-17 Elementary Teacher of the Year and the Secondary and District Teacher of the year which were announced at the Gala on April 1st.
