Old fishing cabins and the café and guest cabin make up a delightful village in the archipelago, which is overlooked by the old chapel located on its own cliff. The Seal Hunting Museum showcases the old culture of seal hunting, and the area around the lighthouse presents the pilot and lighthouse keeper’s families’ life on the island. It is possible to stay overnight in true island style. You can choose the piloting station rooms at the Tankar Inn, the old rooms of the lighthouse master and his men, or the guest cabin in the fishing village. Above all this is the beacon, the heart of Tankar. During the summer months, you can take a scheduled cruise to Tankar on m/s Jenny.
