Leave the station and cross Bollo Lane to go right to Gunnersbury Triangle nature reserve -This wet woodland nature reserve was saved from development in the early 1980s. A pleasant path meanders around the reserve. The reserve is normally open. Return to the entrance and go left along Bollo Lane – a pedestrian footbridge is planned for people using Chiswick Park station and going to Chiswick Business Park. It will then not be necessary to walk along Bollo Lane to the level crosssing. However, at present you need to go under the railway bridge, passing an attractive pub, and on as far as a level crossing. Just after turn left along a road to go under another railway bridge and into Chiswick Business Park. Walk a short way along the road and just past a bus stop look for a path on the right between large office buildings. This leads to an attractively laid out landscaped area with a lake and waterfall, pleasant seating places and nearby cafes. Walk along a path on the right side of the lake to reach Chiswick High Road near a pub. Cross at the traffic lights and walk towards Gunnersbury Station. Follow the path (open during normal hours) to the station and on past the booking office to go over the railway. Where the path divides go right and soon reach Wellesley Road. Cross at the crossing and go right over the railway bridge but immediately turn left down a fenced path by the railway. Just before the path goes under the A4 glance across the railway to see the blue dome and tower of the Russian Orthodox Church.

Pass under the A4 and into Chiswick Village - long ago a railway line known as the Chiswick Curve ran from Gunnersbury Station towards Kew Bridge behind the flats ahead. The wide raised embankment behind some of the flats is all that remains. Turn left along the road through Chiswick Village past an enclosed green as far as a footbridge over the railway. Cross to the far side and go ahead up a narrow road by a school. At the end turn left along Thames Road towards some shops. Just before cross at the crossing and look for a passage/alley between the buildings leading to Strand – on – the – Green and the . Go down the passage and turn left along the wide path – lovely views in both directions. Keep going under the railway bridge, past a pub and some attractive almshouses. Go up the passage by the almshouses to Thames Road. Cross and go right to Lorraine Road. At the end cross Ernest Gardens to enter a narrow path between houses then across another road and on again to a bridge over the railway. On the far side continue on and along Whitehall Gardens and round the bend into Wolseley Gardens. A little way along look for a park entrance on the left between houses. Follow the path through this small but pleasant park as it goes right to reach the side of the A4 by Harvard Hill. Go under the A4 by the subway. On the far side go left along Harvard Road soon passing the front of the Russian Orthodox Church. Cross Wellesley Road at the crossing and go down the footpath to reach Gunnersbury station. From here either retrace your steps through Chiswick Business Park or go right along Chiswick High Road to the traffic lights at Sutton Lane. Cross and go past the pub to reach Chiswick Park station just visible ahead.
