SHRAMIK EXPRESS TRAINS DEPART TO JHARKHAND AND ODISHA WITH 2950 PASSENGERS Dated: 26/05/2020 Special Shramik Express Train No. 01692 of Konkan Railway departed from Karmali Railway Station at 12:42 pm carrying 1628 passengers on board for Ranchi, Jharkhand While another Special Train No.01694 left from Madgaon Railway Station to Rourkela, Odisha at 5:40 pm carrying 1322 passengers today. Shri Uthkrisht Prasoon, SP, North, Shri Vivek H.P., Deputy Collector, Tiswadi, Shri Franklin Ferrero, Mamlatdar of Tiswadi Taluka, Amalia Pinto, Jt. Mamlatdar- I, Tiswadi , Archana Faterpekar, Jt. mamlatdar-II, Tiswadi, Shri Dattaraj K.G. Dessai, Jt. Mamlatdar- IV, Tiswadi, and ITG and Dy. Collector (Tiwadi) staff were present at the time of departure of train at Karmali Railway Station. Shri Arvind Gawas, SP South, IPS, Special Additional Collector, Shri Sanjiv Desai and other senior officers of district administration were present at the time of the departure of the train at Madgaon Railway Station. The people who boarded on the trains were stranded in Goa due to ongoing nationwide lockdown. A proper medical screening and other formalities of the passengers were carried out before they boarded on the train. Later, 143 passengers left from Goa to Kerala today at 8:30 p.m from Panaji & Margao bus stand in 6 buses bearing registration No. GA-03-X-0548 (23 passengers), GA-03-X-0549 (20 passengers), GA-03-X-0222 (25 passengers) , GA-03-X-0333 (26 passengers), GA-03-X-0476 (25 passengers) and GA-03-X-0477(24 passengers). The entire operation was monitored by District Magistrate South Goa, Shri. Ajit Roy, IAS and District Magistrate North Goa, Smt. R. Menaka, IAS under the overall supervision of Shri Kunal, IAS, Nodal Officer for Interstate Movement Cell. DIRECTORATE OF INFORMATION AND PUBLICITY.
