SHRAMIK EXPRESS TRAINS LEAVES WITH 3622 PASSENGERS ON BOARD

Special Shramik Express Train of left from Karmali Railway Station to Dibrugarh in Assam at 8: 12 p.m. with 1345 passengers and two Special trains of Konkan railways carrying all together 2277 passengers on board departed from railway station to Sonbhadra in Uttar Pradesh and Bairabi in Mizoram, today.

First Train No. 01716 carrying 984 passengers left Madgaon Railway Station for Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh at 12:55 p.m; while second Train No. 05004 departed with 1293 passengers to Bairabi, Mizoram, at 9:00 p.m.

Ms. Mamu Hage, IAS, Deputy Collector , oversaw the departure of the train to Bairabi,Mizoram. SP South, Shri Arvind Gawas, IPS; Special Additional Collector, Shri Sanjiv Dessai; SP, Shri Sammy Tavares; SP, Shri Serafin Dias and other senior officers of District Administration, Konkan Railways and Police Department were present.

Shri Vivek H.P, Deputy Collector , Staff of Tiswadi Collectorate and other senior officers of District Administration, Konkan Railways and Police Department were present at the time of departure of train at Karmali Railway Station.

The people who boarded on the train were stranded in due to ongoing nationwide lockdown. A proper medical screening and other formalities of the passengers were carried out before they boarded on the trains.

The entire operation was monitored by District Magistrate South Goa Shri. Ajit Roy, IAS and Smt. R. Menaka, IAS, District Magistrate, North under overall supervision of Shri. Kunal, IAS, Nodal officer for Inter State Movement Cell.
