Biographical Note Lynn Hershman Leeson (b. 1941) is a performance artist and filmmaker who, in various media, has investigated the idea of selfhood and what establishes an individual as a sentient, gendered, unique person. Between the years of 1974 and 1978, Hershman Leeson spent much of her time performing as an alter ego, the character Roberta Breitmore. Much of the work--drawings, photographs, clothing, medical records, letters, etc.--Hershman Leeson produced during the Breitmore years related to the character's emotional and practical existences. Hershman Leeson seemed to be demonstrating that the two existences could and should not be easily separated--nor should the artist herself be easily separated from the character she created.

Profiles of Peace Forty short biographies of Israeli and Palestinian peace builders who have struggled to end the occupation and build a just future for both Palestinians and Israelis. Haidar Abdel Shafi Palestinian with a long history of working to improve the health and social conditions of Palestinians and the creation of a Palestinian state. Among his many accomplishments, Dr. Abdel Shafi has been the director of the Red Crescent Society of Gaza, was Chairman of the first Palestinian Council in Gaza, and took part in the Madrid Peace Talks in 1991. Dr. Haidar Abdel Shafi is one of the most revered persons in Palestine, whose long life has been devoted to the health and social conditions of his people and to their aspirations for a national state. Born in Gaza in 1919, he has spent most of his life there, except for study in Lebanon and the United States. He has been the director of the Red Crescent Society in Gaza and has served as Commissioner General of the Palestinian Independent Commission for Citizens Rights. His passion for an independent state of Palestine is matched by his dedication to achieve unity among all segments of the Palestinian community. Although Gaza is overwhelmingly religiously observant, he has won and kept the respect and loyalty of the people even though he himself is secular. Though nonparti- san he has often been associated with the Palestinian left, especially with the Palestinian Peoples Party (formerly the Palestinian Communist Party). A mark of his popularity is his service as Chairman of the first Palestinian Council in Gaza (1962-64) and his place on the Executive Committee of “There is no problem of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) (1964-65).

REGULATIONS of the 32nd WARSAW FILM FESTIVAL, 7-16 October, 2016 1. ORGANISATION, AIMS, DATES The Warsaw Film Festival (WFF) is organized by the Warsaw Film Foundation in Warsaw, Poland. Its aim is to present the best films from all over the world to Polish and international audience, and to encourage better communication and understanding between people living in different countries and of different cultural backgrounds. WFF is accredited by FIAPF (www.fiapf.org) as a competitive non- specialized film festival. At WFF we present films made to be screened at cinemas. The 32nd Warsaw Film Festival will take place October 7-16, 2016. 2. SECTIONS The Festival programme is divided into the following sections: 2.1. International Competition – for feature films (over 60 min) from all over the world. World, International and European Premieres. 2.2. Competition 1-2 – for first and second feature films (over 60 min) by the directors from all over the world. 2.3. Activity results for 2018 Eurimages, the Council of Europe Fund for the co-production, distribution and exhibition of European cinematographic works has 39 member States, including Montenegro since 1st January 2019. The Eurimages Fund is managed by a Board of Management where each member state is represented. Catherine Trautmann has been the President of the Fund since 1 January 2017. SOME KEY FIGURES EI 2018, the total amount amount of support decisions taken by the Fund represents 21 780 557 €, broken down as follows: Share of the total Support programme amount Total amount allocated/paid allocated/paid 91.55% 19 940 344 € was allocated to producers from member States of the Fund for 78 co-productions. The Coproduction selection rate of the projects represented 29.9%. 2.97% 646 216 € was paid in the framework of the distribution support programme for marketing and publicity Distribution expenses. Exhibition support 2.55% 556 488 € was paid to cinemas to support their film programming in 2017. The Eurimages programme (support for cinemas network comprised 64 cinemas on 31 December 2018. (The support to be awarded for 2018 will be film programming) determined according to the programming results to be examined by the Board in June 2019). 2.55% 555 448 € was allocated for promotional activities: Co-production Award – Eurmages Prize (EFA), Co- Promotion production Development Award, Lab Projects Awards, co-operation with markets and festivals, Human Rights Award in Cinema, Odyssée-Council of Europe, presence in Cannes, Berlin, Venice, etc. 0.38% 82 061 € was paid to promoting gender equality in the film industry (Audentia Award for the Best Gender equality Female Director, awareness-raising meetings, etc.).
