I’ve served as Series Director such sensory-explosive shows as The Beet Party, Kung Fu Dino Posse, World of Quest and Iggy Arbuckle. When not pitching a new series to a production company, I also work as a freelance storyboard artist, commercial director, and character designer. Experience ToonBox Entertainment July 2011 – March 2013 Series Director for the 3D Stereoscopic show The Beet Party (104 X 2minutes). Specific Tasks included: - Overseeing all creative departments of the production including Scripts, Voice Records, Design, Storyboards, Animation and Post Production. Generally supporting the integrity and production of the series through each process. - Working with 'Beat-box Extraordinaire' LumberRob to achieve recording of multi-track beat-boxing for each of the 104 Episodes & overseeing all musical aspects of show. - Working to meet defined milestones and deadlines within a strict schedule. - Trouble-shooting and finding ways to streamline the production process. - Communicating expected quality to the team by providing both creative and technical direction. - Participating in and driving meetings to encourage teamwork and communication between departments. OPTIX Digital April 2011 – July 2011 Storyboard Artist, Animator & Revision Animator for the animated sequences in the show Artzooka. GURU Studio November 2010 – March 2011 Storyboard Artist on the animated series Mudpit. Cookie Jar Entertainment May 2009 – June 2010 Director of the 2D animated series Kung Fu Dino Posse (40 X 22minutes). Duties included overseeing Design, Storyboards, Script revisions, creating leica Reels with editors, overseeing voice records and post production. DECODE Entertainment March 2008 – October 2008 Worked on the Hybrid mix 3D/2D/Live Action Animated show Dirtgirl World. Duties included script approvals, prop and character design approvals, developing relationships between multiple production studios in Canada and Australia and overseeing technical process for design and animation process in both Toronto and in Sydney, Australia. Cookie Jar Entertainment May 2007 – February 2008 Director on the Flash animated series World of Quest for the Warner Brothers network (26 X 11 minutes). Duties included production relationship with the studio Mercury Filmworks (in Ottawa), commuting for seven months to oversee Design, Storyboards, Direct Leica Reels and begin the show’s four Animation Team into full production. CORE Digital Pictures May 2006 – May 2007 Director for the Flash Animated show Iggy Arbuckle (52 X 11 minutes). Duties included assembling/hiring many of the one hundred employees for the show, auditioning voice actors and overseeing voice direction, script approvals, supervising storyboards, supervising colour-key, character/location/prop/funpak design, and assisting in sound & music direction & post production. TOPIX VFX February 2002 – May 2006 Director and 3D Animator on commercials that featured 3D Character Animation and various Visual Effects elements. On live action sets, acted as a Visual Effects Supervisor and worked closely with the Live Action Director as well as Advertising Agencies and Clientele. CORE Digital Pictures October 1999 – August 2001 Animation Director on Gemini Award winning TV series Angela Anaconda assisting a team of Animators, providing input with scripts, storyboards, and supervising sound mixes in post-production. Animated Visual Effects for movie The Rats. Storyboarded and Directed five episodes of Animated TV series The Hoobs. Radical Entertainment March 1998 – October 1999 Directed (and animated) 3D FMV sequences in the video game, Jackie Chan: Stuntmaster. Wrote script as well as storyboarded and created full animatic. Built, lit and textured many environments and objects within FMV sequences. Also provided ‘In Game Special Case' Animations. Gray Matter Inc. February 1994 – July 1997 2D and 3D Animator. Created artwork for various video games, wrote game specs, storyboarded full motion video sequences, created character designs, supervised 3D animation and was lead artist and designer of the video game Manic Marbles (produced by Microsoft). Bardel Entertainment October 1993 – February 1994 Animated scenes for TV Shows and assisted scenes for commercials. Delaney & Friends Productions April 1993 – October 1993 2D and 3D Animator.
